Holy shat. I thought that guy would be wearing a Colts uni until he died. I wonder how much the gun incident has to do with it.

as expected. He was completely worthless in 2008, from the gun incident to his absolute garbage play on the field.

Yeah, he'll be a Hall of Famer easily.

He'd only be worth picking up now to a team who maybe wants him as a pseudo-coach. Obviously that would be for a minimal amount of money compared to his last contract. We'll see what he does.

gotta love Starvin Marvin, the man had a great career. Honestly I always loved the guy, and wished he could have been a jet. That said, with our crop of recievers he just doesnt belong in our corps. Surely he could teach our young guys (Stuckey, Clowney, Smith, Marcus Henry) some tricks, but he just wouldnt work in a Jets uniform these days. Maybe in 1996 instead of Keyshawn, it would have worked, that said the Jets would have been eaten alive for drafting Harrison at #1.

I think injuries took their toll on Harrison...and the Colts probably figured he's lost a step. I'm not surprised they gave him his unconditional release....it'll give him a chance to shop himself around if he still wanted to play. If i had to guess, I would think a team like the Eagles would give him a look.

Colts definitely didn't get value for all the guaranteed money they gave him a few years ago when he became a free agent.

I doubt he's successful anywhere else as anything but a mentor to younger players.

He doesn't seem to be the mentor type, but who knows.

Why do people love this guy so much? He's a total dick I can still remember that fuck completely running down and then grabbing a Jet ball boy. Totally uncalled for. I've disliked him since.

I was always a huge Marvin fan. I'm sure he'll get into the Hall of Fame.

    But...

    Not on the first ballot.

That's two old faces of their franchise cut in about a week.

    Funny game, that football.

Chris Carter didn't get in on his first ballot, Harrison probably won't either. The AP has no love for WR in the hall of fame.

Cris Carter should have been first ballot in my opinion, but Harrison was better than Carter. Harrison is one half of the most prolific passing duo in NFL history. He also has the record for most receptions in a season. I'd be shocked if I see that record broken in my lifetime.
