i'm just a lurker by nature, but i have to say that the first couple of pages of this thread are comedy gold
I actually do know someone who is related to someone that holds a high position in the Jets front offices, though I rarely talk to him. Very mild acquaintance. So I'm not saying its out of the realm of possibility that you know someone. However, I think there are a couple of problems here dude, first you live in Atlanta, Georgia. So that signifigantly reduces the possiblity of you knowing a Jets insider, since the team is in New Jersey. But the bigger problem for me, is that you have Brett Ratliff in your avatar. So it kind of comes off that you're some young kid just talkin out of your a**. Just an observation.
Ratliff has accuracy, mobility and arm strength. he deserves to get a good look agaisnst first team defenses before he's crowned "King of New York"
thank you... this is what I was saying too... his next test is 1st string preseason defenses. He passes that test, he can start.
If what you say is true then the coaching staff.. front office.. is not a smart as I thought. First of all its March 1st and we aren't even close to playing the first preseason game yet. Second, he hasn't threw an ball that isn't a preseason game in his career before. Ratliff is completely unproven and hasn't shown much out side of a few preseason games in the 2nd half against the 3rd string. Whoever is saying Ratliff should be starting as of now is a idiot. The Jets need to bring in a vet. What if Ratliff and Clemens sucks in the Preseason?
We should all be very proud of Ratliff. He came to the team undrafted. He made some mistakes, and he worked his butt off to correct those mistakes. And it showed in the pre-season last year, and hopefully he will continue to do well and will be the starter that we're looking for. I'm really hoping that's the case. He deserves it.
