Nobody mentioned it because it was a correct call.

Exactly, but if it was Brady instead of Clemens, you know the yellow laundry would have been flying.

    Worst Call

Agree with those of you who stated the fumble in the AFC Championship Mud Bowl Game.
Game was 0-0 at the time, early in 2nd half.

Andra Franklin fumbled and Gastineau recovered in Miami territory.

Whoever scored first in that game was going to win.

We would have had the ball in Miami territory with momentum

speaking of mud bowl, can't help but think back to the previous game when we beat the raiders and lyle alzado (sp). lyle was so pissed he over dosed on roids and died a short time later.

'one' of the best calls was the 10 minute review of jumo elliot laying on his stomach in the end zone craddling the fb in front of him just micro-inches off the grond in the 'marical in the meadowlads' game. refs got that one right. well, according to jet fans anyway.

Leahy missed alot of big kicks but he did not miss one in OT of the 1986 Cleveland game. The Jets offense simply collapsed after taking the late 10 point lead and if I'm not mistaken did not even register a first down in OT. They never got close to Leahy's range. Mosley, the Browns kicker missed one in OT but redeemed himself with the winning kick on the next possession....

Well, if by "a short time later" you mean 10 years later, after playing 3 more seasons, when he had started using them in 1969 (by his own statements), then I guess so.

The way Todd played that day, it wouldn't have mattered. And you couldn't count on Leahy, especially in those conditions.....

Bad call but not part of NYJ history, except we fucked up the division that year in Week 16 or that would have been our home game.
