I'm not big on those players either but it's just funny to think that after all of the low points and blunders in the history of the franchise... drafting Darius Hayward-Bey would be what drove you to the fins.
I'm not going to legit become a Dolphins fan I just root for them when they don't play the Jets. But everyone here takes the rivalry a little seriously eh?
I disagree. To each their own I guess. To me if you're rooting for the Dolphins you just don't understand what it means to be a Jets fan. Do you own a Zack Thomas jersey by any chance?
I Dont think if we traded David Harris, Bart Scott and Leon for Braylon "Shithands" Edwards would i become a Dolphins fan.
The concept of even hoping one of the dolphins plays is successful is sickening, and i don't understand how you can cheer for a division rival. Don't think will be able to see you in the same light again. Just awful
I'm sorry, but imo no Jets fan can ever, ever, EVER roots for the Dolphins. Not ever, not under any circumstances. I been a Jets fan too long, so I hate them more than the Patriots - only Belicheck pushes the total hate factor for the Pats over that for the Dolphins. If you've ever been to a losing game against Miami at the Meadowlands and had to endure the turquoise wearing freaks whooping and chanting in OUR stadium, you'd understand. I can't even watch HBO's Inside the NFL anymore since they added Marino. Squish the Fish. :finssuck:
There's no "borderline" here. You're being too kind. It is motherf**kin ridiculous to root for the Dolphins ever! The only exception would be if it was against the Pats and the Pats had to lose. Even then, a post game shower would be needed to wash off the filth and shame.
I understand not to root for the Patriots but that's because I hate the whole state of Massachusetts. I think it's okay to root for a team that runs exciting plays and has a few players I like on it. ps. I like last years Dolphins not previous years, Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas can blow me
The bold parts are the problem, man. How in the hell can you call yourself a Jets' fan? If you want to watch exciting, gimmick plays go watch some college football teams -- Auburn just hired Gus Malzahn to run their offense - he invented the Wildcat Formation that you're speaking of.
Amen brother! The only thing I would add is trade down to the 20s to get Britt or Harvin, no need to reach for them at 17. We need to stockpile picks and both Phi and Minn could be trade partners.
Everytime the Dolphins win, it makes the Jets job harder, under no circumstances can you want them to win if you are a Jets fan, it's simple as that. Like Mr Electric said there are a ton of exciting teams in college, no Jets fan should ever even entertain the thoughts of liking the Dolphins. Patriots are rivals but the Dolphins are on a whole other level.
