How Could They Move The Femces Back? The Seats Are Right Up To The Wall. And If You Raise The Fences Those Seats Would Have To Be Raised Too.
You move the fence back the same way they did it at CBP. With a jackhammer and a wrecking ball. Of course that took out 200 seats from the park as well. I'm sure if the Yankees do that they'll be able to relocate those ticket holders.....maybe to the acres of empty seats behind the dugouts. Raising the fences is easier, just use some Plexiglas like they did at the Metrodome. Just have to tell the people sitting in the 100 dollar outfield seats that they're sitting in the "Garden Zone" inspired by the views at Madison Square Garden during Ranger games. Cuts down on fan interference too.

$1.5 Billion for a wind tunnel to right, nice. Because the dimensions are all the same. http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/ballpark/new_stadium_comparison.jsp
congratulations on not reading the thread before making the same moronic comment as dozens of others, the dimensions are not the same, they are the same in 5 specific places, but shorter in almost all of right field
Look at post #18 of this thread, I posted diagrams from two different sources which both show the flattening of the right field wall. though you could see it even if you just look at it, there is no curve to the wall at all, so basic geometry if you draw a straight line between 2 fixed points and an arcing one there will be a change in distance to almost every point on the respective lines Also the yankees were open about the fact that the walls are shorter Edit- check this out http://www.hittrackeronline.com/parks/newyankeestadium_rings_2009_scatter.jpg it's the hit-tracker chart of HRs hit in NYS so far, looking at that then looking at the NYS vs OYS charts i put up before I;d say at least 4 or 5 of those are either caught or off the wall last year
Kinda to early to tell, 20 home runs in a series has been done before in the Bronx, 3 or 4 times this decade.
The wind pattern will probably change again once they take down the old stadium right next to it. Plus, who cares? It's a hitters park. OMG!!!!
Out of curiosity, how many doubles have Mets pitchers given up that would have been homers in many other parks?
dave, worry about own team. now on the topic of the stadium and HRs... http://riveraveblues.com/2009/06/fence-not-wind-turning-stadium-into-homer-haven-13006/
