So when the ump warned Pedro that meant he was throwing at Garcia's head? Why have you maintained all these years that he didn't?
I think he's been throwing at him and I think he deserved what he has gotten but clearly Beckett threw a purpose pitch at Abreu and clearly he deserved a suspension. It should have been a suspension to make him miss at leats one start but the pro-Sox anti-Yankee bias continues in the league office.
I don't know, man, once Abreu called for time and got it he should have stepped out of the box. I know Becketts a dickhead, but it really wasn't that close.
It was too close. I don't think he was trying to hit him but he was sending a message and anywhere near the head is too close.
This is one of those occasions where I agree with junc. Sure, it's pretty hard to argue that Joba isn't gunning for Youkilis. It's also hard to argue Pedro wasn't gunning for everyone. And I agree that any pitch near the head is too close. Knees to shoulders, that's it. Oh and devil, I'm not bitter about anything, except how much the Yankees suck lately. I just don't like Beckett. At all. If I saw him on fire I wouldn't piss on him to put it out. He's a douche.
If I'm not mistaken he still misses a start, 5 games = 1 start. Am I missing something? Either he pitches game 6 or 7 despite missing his usual start.
