That 2nd rounder is a 3rd rounder any other year. Plus we didn't give any picks for next year which is HUGE. We traded up to where the value was. We get rid of a bunch of contracts and easily replaceable players. Is it a good trade for the Jets, value wise? I'd say its GREAT. Is it a good trade for the Browns? I'd say yes, too. They have holes.

And kudos for Mangini for not being spiteful and holding a grudge. Classy move. Belicheck would never have done that.

Just out of curiosity what QBs are declaring next year? Will it be a strong year for QBs? Did we jump the gun by a year?

Looks like Mangini loves his Mangini guys. I hope we just traded for a Franchise QB. We can do all the bitching we want only time will tell.

If Sanchez returned as a senior he'd be the #1 pick next year. Now he's in the pros, give him some playing time and let him develop under Schottenheimer. By 2010 we will have a budding star at QB.

06 was considered a monster year for QBs with VY, Leinart, Cutler and KC. How did that work out? Last year was supposed to be a bad year for WRs and Eddie Royal and Desean Jackson tore up the league as rookies. These predictions don't really mean much.

Adding Douglas solved the problem of not having DL depth, trading Coleman brought that problem back. A second round pick could have been used to get and offensive lineman, we need depth at that position. Just two injuries to the OL could cripple this team.

Anyway, we'll just have to see these players play to know if the force is with them.
