This guy would be excellent depth at the ILB position...rotating in with Harris and Scott. We all know Harris has had injury problems in the past....Foote could be worth a look...he's only 28. Any thoughts or comments?

That's fantastic news. He's familiar with Ryan. I'd guess he's a rather quick signing. We have the space for another couple of low to mid range veterans.

He'd probably be looking to start but if he's just looking for a job I hope we sign him

I don't trust Harris to be healthy for a full season...I hope he is..but recent history has proven otherwise....

I also think the possiblity of rotating Foote in with Harris and Scott would be beneficial to the stamina of the LB corps as a whole, for the long run of a season. This would keep all 3 ILBs fresh for the season....and hopefully...for a postseason run.

If the price is right....this could be a great signing for the Jets, IMO.

pick him up... he'd add to the mentality that Ryan wants on this defense as well.

    i can't believe he's only 28.

Everyone seems to think that Foote to Detroit is a done deal. Oh well. It would have been nice.

He is going to start somewhere... plus remember we have to sign Sanchez to that big contract and we might want to bring in a veteran WR... we don't have enough money...

Why would he wanna come here and be a back up, when many teams will be offering him a starting job?

maybe he will be Scott's replacement in Baltimore.

It depends on our other plans and what he's looking for. If he wants to make starter money, the answer is no. We've got about 13 million to work with, and you can expect Sanchez to eat up 7 million of that bare minimum, and that's with a backoaded contract. I'd expect this year's cap hit for him to hit closer to 9 or even 10 million.
