Well, after watching Art Shell try to be a NFL head coach, I tend to agree with the title of this thread. Really, no matter how crazy Al is, there is no doubting that he has done a lot to break down the race barriers that exist in the NFL. I just hope that is his legacy and not his final years once its all said nad done.

This whole brouhaha is more of a testimony to Tim Brown's diarrhea of the mouth than anything lacking in Davis's racial views.
Fantasy football? No way, people actually try in that. Al Davis runs a Madden dynasty where you stock up on the fastest, biggest players in the league regardless of talent because it'll be funny too see them run around.

Speaking of Madden. I wonder what Mitchell's overall rating will be. Because remember, he was a 7th round prospect taken in the 2nd. Normally all 7th rounders in Madden don't rate over 70. So I wonder what they go with.
I don't think those comments were as much a testimony to Al Davis' racial views as it was a testimony to what decade he thinks it is.
