    Poll attached......

OK JETS fans, All four teams in the AFC East have something to prove. The DOLPHINS are the reigning division champs, The PATRIOTS get back their golden boy, the JETS need to shed the aura of Brett, and the BILLS have almost a decade of futility to erase. Which team has the most on the line this season? Try to avoid homerism if you can......

The Pats, they need to prove they're still the best team in the division and top 2 in the league. If they fail, it could be the begining of the end.

I Agree with the Pats, but in a strange way, it could be the Bills as Ralph Wilson the owner is getting Waaaaay up there in age, and another bad season could spell the end for the current coaching staff. The Bills havent been to the playoffs in 10 years.

Pats, they are now going on 5 years since their last SB. They lose this year and they fall back to the pack in the AFC.

The Pats, if they don't win the division with Brady back, then they'll be in trouble.

I want to say the Pats, because I belive the have the best team top to bottom in the AFC east.

My second option would be the Bills. They invested in TO, who has proven time and time again to be a cancer. If things do nto go well, they will have not only his tantrums to deal with, but thier coach should lose his job.

I think it's the bills. After the free fall they did last season and keeping their cs. They now take a risk on owens, and trade peters. I think if they do not make a splash this season their cs will probably be canned. So that being said, they do have the most to lose imo.

In order to "lose" it, you have to "have" it first.

So the question then becomes: who has the most?

    Obvious question now, isn't it?

The Bills are the only ones whose head coach will be fired if they miss the playoffs.

I think the Patriots will be viewed as the biggest disappointment if they miss the playoffs, since expectations are highest. But it's not like heads will roll there or anything.

Everybody expects the Dolphins to come back to earth this year. They'll be around .500 at best and Chad Henne will get a few starts down the stretch to build for the future.

For the Jets, I think it depends a lot on who plays. They invested a lot in drafting Sanchez and Greene. If those guys play a lot and don't at least show signs that the franchise was right, it would look bad. But then again, they're rookies, just as Ryan is a rookie head coach, and you usually get a year to get your feet wet before there's too much heat (well, apart from the wacko element).

So I'm going to say the Bills have the most to lose, sorry, because if they flop, the organization will blow things up in the offseason. That's not really true of any other AFC East team.

I disagree completely here. The Bills COACHING staff has the most to lose, because if they screw up (what is this year 6 for Jauron?) they are done. And the staff in Miami could be in trouble if the team takes a disaster turn around in which they finish closer to 1-15 than 11-5. If the team goes 4-12 through injuries to chadwick they will get a pass but if they go 4-12 (ala Jets in 07) with a healthy yet terribly ineffective chad (mostly OL issues in 07, but it has happened) then Sparano and co. will be on the hot seat.

The Patriots have the most to lose this year. If they dont make a deep run, and either win it all or lose on a flukey technicality mess, it will signal the end of their reign over the NFL. With Brady back if he isnt his normal beyond elite self, the patriots will fail, and as a result their reign of terror over the NFL and their era of media love fest that we have suffered for the past decade will be coming to a close. Everybody say Hallejula! May the lord here our prayers!

Also i think the Jets have nothing to lose, the only one who expects anything of the Jets is Rex Ryan. I mean fans have high expectations, but thats because we are generally irrational in our hopes for our favorite team. If the Jets go 4-12 no one will be surprised (or upset) except for Jets fans. If the Jets go 12-4 everyone will be surprised including Jets fans, and we will be considered the up and coming squad in the NFL that could challenge for a long long time.

If at the end of the season three of the four teams at least will have the same coaching staff in place, while the fourth is back to square one, I think that fourth team had the most to lose. New coaching staff generally means new offensive and defensive schemes for the players. It sometimes means the new coaches want to get "their guys" in pace, as Rex Ryan and Eric Mangini did. T.O. is on a one-year deal. Trent Edwards needs to take a step forward or the Bills could consider bringing in competition. The list goes on.

I agree the Patriots have the most expectations entering the season, but the changes won't be nearly as dramatic there if the season goes south.

Jets have alot of question marks, mainly at Quarter back.
Patriots are always solid. Defense may slip this year.
Bills have question marks on Offense , hense the T.O. pick up.
Dolphins Have Chad pennigton. His glaring tendencies will be his undoing.

    Pats at the top again.
    The Jets 2nd place.
    The Dolphins in third.
    Bills In dead last.

The Pat's have been the gold standard for the better part of a decade. Rightfully so, but nothing lasts forever and it will be interesting to see if this year is the beginning of the slow ride back down to everybody else. The Dolphins have huge pressure to perform up to their success last season. Me personally, I think they got by, barely, beating very bad teams and having virtually every thing go their way. They are going to go backwards this year, no doubt...

If they Jets don't make the playoffs. The Jets will be lucky if they go to the playoffs so there's really nothing to say.

Miami is still looking for a franchise QB. They may make it to the playoffs again, but Pennington will take them about as far as he can...into the 2nd week of the playoffs then lose to a good defense. If they miss it, not that big of a deal they haven't been to post season for about a decade and should be stoked that they made it last year.

NE is always a contender for the Superbowl if Brady is healthy. There's really not much to lose there. He's missed the playoffs 1 year when healthy. Not like Belichik or Brady are leaving the area.

If the Bills don't make the playoffs they lose their coaching staff. They have the most to gain because they were a team that people thought should make the playoffs for 3 years in a row but failed.

The most to lose? This is a strange poll. All teams have equal chance of sucking, all teams have question marks, all teams want to win. Not sure of the point here.

I don't know how anyone can say the Bills, what expectation do they have? No one expects the Bills to do anything except maybe the Bill fans, but otherwise there is no one thinking the Bills will do much. All the other teams in the division are much better managed and coached and seem to understand how to add talent to their rosters, the Bills just keep doing stupid things that make no sense. They are the only team in the division who doesn't run the 3-4 and they lost to every team they faced last year who ran the 3-4. I just don't get how the Bills could possibly have expectations. Without expectations, you don't have to stress losing.

lol @ people saying the patriots are going backwards.

as long as brady and BB are in new england they will be the team to beat in this division. i don't understand how ANYONE can say theyre falling off after what happened in 2007. They lost their all-world qb last year and STILL managed to win 11 games.

What makes you think thier D will slip? They have invested heavily on that side of the ball in the past two drafts, comming away with a few good second rounders this past season. If any thing I would theink they have reloaded well and at jsut the right time. Out with the old (vrabel) in with the new (Mayo and several other picks).

That is what the Jones/Greene thing is breaking down to IMO. We've restocked running back before it became a problem. As long as Greene is not a flop it was a well played situation.
