Lets see how smart we all think we are as a group...THIS IS THE OFFICIAL LAST CALL to poll who you think the jets will take in round one. No mention of trade downs is needed in the poll, just attach a post to your poll if you need to point out what the the Jets do! (via trade down, trade up, trade players, ect..) YOU have less then 24 hours to submit your thoughts!! vote once, dont be a dummy!
My short board.. I take these guys in this order, so if the top one if off the board, we'd take #2, etc. 1) Bush 2) Leinart 3) Ferguson 4) Vernon Davis
just as long as you vote...punch a bullet and submit a vote so we can see as a group (TGG) who we think we are taking...see if the consensus is correct tomorrow morning
A poll in this situation is dumb. You have to assume everyone is available for the Jets, and 2, maybe 3 of the guys on the list may not be. It's best if people list their top 4, IN ORDER so we know what they think the Jets are thinking
No we can't, because who in their right mind is going to pick Bush? Noone, because we all think he's gone. However, if I list my top 4 in order, then you know what I'm thinking.
its not dumb in this situation...if you vote that the jets are going to take someone who isnt avialbe most likely...ie Reggie Bush then just state on a post that you voted Bush because you think the jets will trade up...im not interested in where we are in the draft...at the end of the day, i want to know who we all think will be in Green and White...your missing the point!
dude i know your NYJ smart and all, but just stop posting cuz your completely missing the point which should be obvious...its common sense, doesnt matter where we are in the draft...at the end of the day, who ends up in green and white? its a simpe question, dont need to be like.." well i dont know who is going to be on the board, and uhhhh its stupid to think bush will be there at #4 and i guess if mario and Dbrick are both there then i would have to go with..." NOT THE POINT!!! IF WE ALL KNEW WHO WAS GOING TO BE THERE...IM PRETTY SURE WE ALL WOULD KNOW WHO THE JETS WERE GOING TO PICK.. NEXT!!!
Hey guys, First post on this board (though I was an active poster on the usenet group from 96 to around 2001). My gut tells me it will be D'Brick. Not a flashy pick, but probably the safest one, and it's in an area of need. OTOH, we happen to have a lot of needs, so I wouldn't be unhappy with any of Bush, Leinart, Williams, or D'Brick at four. I think the only thing that would upset me is if we took Vernon Davis at number four--no receiver of any kind is ever worth that high a pick (unless he's guaranteed to have Jerry Rice's career, and nobody is). I can see the arguments for a lot of moves, including trading down and picking up extra picks. This is the biggest draft for us since 2000, and can really get the Tangini regime off on the right foot if things go well. Whatever happens, as always, we won't be able to evaluate this draft for years anyway. I hope we can look back on this draft as a successful one. Ed Mokeski
and thank you to all of you who are takign this seriously...just want to see either how smart we as jets fans are, or how good of a job the front office did by fooling us all...either way this is going to help give us our answer!!!
I voted for Vernon Davis...my predictions for the first 4 picks: 1. Texans-Reggie Bush 2. Saints-D'Brick Ferguson 3. Titans-Vince Young 4. Jets-Vernon Davis
