Jets to be the Titans vs. the Titans?

I understand the Jets used to be the Titans, problem is I just do not give a damn. They are the Jets now and their colors are green and white. I seriously cannot enjoy the games as much when they wear those horrid uniforms as I do when they wear the beauty of the green and white.

Fuck the idea of throwbacks and the suckers that buy those ugly ass jerseys, which gives the NFL a reason to bring them back year after year.

You seriously don't get as excited if Leon Washington scores a TD in a blue and gold Titans Uni than you would if he scored in a green and white Jets jersey? Am I reading this correctly?

 

You do realize that selling merchandise is a good thing for the Jets and the league right?

 

i agree with this.....however.....I prefer the merchandise being sold to be of the "Green/white" persuasion......not this blue/gold trash.

That's all well and good but this has been going on for several seasons now - if it was just this season in honor of the anniversary it would be a different story. When does it end?

Personally, I just liked the style of the 80's unis a lot more than the current ones - nothing to do with the whole anniversary thing.

 

I get just as excited about winning a game or individual plays but my overall enjoyment is not the same in those horrid money grabbing uniforms.

 

Bears throwbacks are ugly also

 

I really wish this Titans shit would go the way of the Bush administration and bell bottoms.

Does anyone here have any sort of affiliation or emotional connection with the Titans? If you do, is there any way it's greater than the 1980's-1990's Jets? There's the throwbacks we need!

 

I just don't get how you guys don't care. It's probably one of the brightest spots of our history. We were arguably the best team in the AFL, and helped legitimize the merger of both leagues. We beat a powerhouse of the NFL. I don't mind the Uni's, at most we wear them twice a year.

The only problem I have with this is... the Jets will end up someday bringing back the kelly green unis before long. Puke.

And honestly I don't get the disapproval of it especially those clamoring for the 80s unis, those years were largely forgettable ones especially since we always seem to win with those Titans jerseys
