I think that if he had any shot to make the team, he'd have gotten in for at least 1 drive tonight considering that Ainge came in before half time.

It must be a shitty feeling to be that guy, especially since he's a Harvard grad and is at the bottom of the totem pole.

Either way, as a fan I would like to see him play a bit. If I was him and had a for sure plan if the NFL didn't work out, I wouldn't show up to another practice, tell my agent to call other teams, and is that fails, do whatever a Harvard degree can get me.

Ryan said after the game something along to lines of, "I feel bad cuz I wanted to get Harvard in, but... I also wanted to win."

haha...calls him Harvard and admits he sucks...I hope Ryan sticks around a while

Of course she is, she's got a guarantted payday coming her way...either he's in the NFL or he's working somewhere with a degree from the best university in the world.....unless Harvard offers degrees in Resort and Hotel Management or whatever it is those Big 10 and SEC guys major in.....which I doubt....

We'll get a look at Pizzotti later, no need to give him the boot just yet.

Ainge looked pretty good. One of his throws was a potential interception, though. I'm thinkin' that, since Ainge has been in the Jets' sytem for a while, he'll get the nod over Pizzotti. He also has size and a decent arm. There's always the practice squad for Harvard.

If the coaching staff likes him but doesnt think he will make the team they might not play him much so that no other team trys to steal him. Then next year when Clemens is gone, they can make him the third stringer behind Sanchez and Ainge.

Well, there's still a few pre-season games left. If I were the Jets, I would try Ainge with the first squad a couple times to see how he reacts. With how he played last night, I want to know if Ainge is in a better position to be number 2 than Clemens. Clemens is a turnover machine. If Ainge can stay away from turnovers, I would rather him as the number 2.

Unless they can get something decent in trade for Clemens, my guess is that he stays as the starter or more likely backup for his last year. Next year Sanchez is starting and Ainge is two. Pizzotti is a relative of my friends family and has great football blood lines and is smart with decent skills. He will definitely need time to get accustomed to this level of competition. By next year he might be ready to get in there if needed.

No team would trade anything substantial for Clemens. If all their QBs are on IR and they're desperate, then maybe a late round pick.
