Clemens fumbled the ball last night, threw only safe throws, and didn't get any yardage.

Ainge played well and moved the ball nicely up the field.

I know I'll get crucified for this, but is it possible that Ainge is the number 2 by the time the season starts?

Clemens was a big talker, when Ratliff was on the team. He disrespected Ratty before training camp even started, calling himself the number 1 QB. Is it possible that he won't even be the number 2?

Why did Mangini ask for Ratty, instead of Clemens, in the draft trade for Sanchez? Mangini knew what many of us knew -- that the NFL was way over the head of Clemens. While Clemens looks better than past years, he is a turnover machine.

I think the real competition is not between Clemens and Sanchez for number 1, but Clemens and Ainge for number 2.

Why rush it, Clemens will be gone next year and Eric will be #2.

Clemens played against starters, Ainge played against 3rd stringers.

Nuff said, Clemens is our #2.

Who thinks there should be an IQ test before posting in the main forum?

One should not pass judment on QB performance unless his/her IQ is equal to or better than 120

Brad Johnson, Gus Frerotte, or Rex Grossman.

Out of all those guys, I'd be more than happy with Grossman. He's got Post Season experience.

Seriously though, bring one of these guys in.

    So does Brad Johnson.

In fact, I'm fairly sure he's won a superbowl.

Raises hand. I never saw the game which is why the only thing I opine about is the vast improvement over the busted cheerleaders the Jets had last year.
