Clemens fumbled the ball last night, threw only safe throws, and didn't get any yardage. Ainge played well and moved the ball nicely up the field. I know I'll get crucified for this, but is it possible that Ainge is the number 2 by the time the season starts? Clemens was a big talker, when Ratliff was on the team. He disrespected Ratty before training camp even started, calling himself the number 1 QB. Is it possible that he won't even be the number 2? Why did Mangini ask for Ratty, instead of Clemens, in the draft trade for Sanchez? Mangini knew what many of us knew -- that the NFL was way over the head of Clemens. While Clemens looks better than past years, he is a turnover machine. I think the real competition is not between Clemens and Sanchez for number 1, but Clemens and Ainge for number 2.
Brad Johnson, Gus Frerotte, or Rex Grossman. Out of all those guys, I'd be more than happy with Grossman. He's got Post Season experience. Seriously though, bring one of these guys in.
Raises hand. I never saw the game which is why the only thing I opine about is the vast improvement over the busted cheerleaders the Jets had last year.
LOL, well to be fair the thread said "Clemens or Ainge". I still the Clemens is the starter though...
