Yes, and I find that to be one of the fortunate parts of this turn of events. Favre in a Vikings uniform means less Favre in green and white. Not that I hated him, but it's annoying to see the constant Favre news because just seeing the Jets uniform makes me think that I'm about to hear Jets news when in reality it's just more of that crap. I can't believe people are disgusted by this. I only expected him to be in NY for one season.
ROFL did anyone see the 3 passes of training camp they showed during the press conference. The first 2 passes were 10 yards off target and the last pass was all wobbly and the receiver dropped it...I need to get that on youtube it was hilarious.
Favre will have something happen to him not so good, and then that will make him probably retire...this time FOR GOOD!
What really pisses me off is: Ok, you want to come back and play? Do it! But get your ass in camp on july 31 and work your ass off for the team. This way it doesn't really help nobody. We'll have to wait and see but right now I think he's more detrimental than other for the Vikings...
Let's review. What did Favre do for the Jets? The Jets threw Pennington under the bus to sign Favre. The Vikings tossed their QB's under the bus, too. Favre had a decent first half of the season, got hurt, came back and was terrible. The result? Here's a question, why in the hell are both Jackson and Rosenfelds still hanging around Minn? Soon as Farve signed, I'd have walked off the team as it would appear both of those guys were nothing more than caretakers for Farve's seat. I guess they have no pride or are really banking on Farve not finishing the season. Either way, it definetly speaks volumes as to the confidence the Minn CS and FO have in their Qb's.
So because of Brett Favre we got rid of Penny and his noodle arm, Mangini and his terrible coaching, and picked up a brand new defense, great coach, and possible franchise QB? Wow. I never realized how lucky we were. Thanks!
I just knew it! Back when we were wondering whether Frave was really committed to being with the Jets I posed the question whether he was just using any team as a stop gap in between to escape his contract with Green bay. We all knew Minn was his preferred destination. Now Brett Farve has proven my suspicions. Karma is a bitch Brett , watch out she coming to get ya!
