No we will probably draft some more 7th rounders u know some "character guys" cause thats what wins championships, not talent but character.
those 2 picks were so bizarre, there really is no way to predict what we'll do next...could literally be any draft eligible player.
At least we have a feel for what Tanni and Mangi are about and what kind of guys they are gonna draft. At least we know Marcus Vick won't be here.
Mike Hass, Michael Robinson (could be similar to former QB-turned-WR Anquan Boldin; laugh now, believe me later on), Hank Baskett, P.J. Daniels and Charles Gordon are the guys that interest me. After that, nobody in particular piques my interest anymore.
but he's not a mauler, his combine numbers were pathetic, everything makes sense if you don't go by the mocks and rankings...
I love how everyone boldly declares that they know we "reached" with those picks. Interesting to note that both 3rd rounders were either the top tacklers or close to the top tacklers on their teams in 2005. Their productive guys. Now, maybe they don't have the measurables that everyone falls in love with, but they sure do tackle a lot. Also, as I watched the draft, I had the ESPN magazine draft guide with all the projected picks by round. Right from round 2, guys were getting picked that were projected at round 4, 5 and 6. What teams have on their value chart has no alignment with whatever God perceived value you've placed on everyone..
Whats all this about tackles, I've seen a few people talk about it, who freakin cares...I can tell you right now, barring injury, that David Harris will lead Michigan in tackles next year playing ilb, that don't mean he can play in the nfl, middle lbs and safeties lead teams in tackles, thats how many many defensive systems work.
roderique wright and darnell bing maybe...spencer havner...tim day (clemmens TE from college who actually if not for injuries would have easily been a day one pick, and probably one in round two)
My guess is the FO will start drafting dead people soon. Might want to check the recent obituaries. It will not be enough to just take people that no one has ever heard of or who have no chance of being drafted. But I am sure some people here will defend the FO and will say they can raise the dead.
Listen, I know Tangini isn't exactly the God-like figure that is Herm Edwards, but they're not that bad, are they?
Demetrius Williams 1st Gabe Watson 2nd then in the 5th... if Bing, Simpson, or Gilles are left, go for them
I would take a chance on Michael Robinson. He seems like a guy that would do whatever it takes for the team.
no he doesnt, robinsons is intent on playing QB first and foremost, if you've listened to him speak you would know that everyone just assumes he's going to just jump into WR or RB (he can't really catch all that well so I don't know how he'd be a WR...and he's size wise a tad to small for a RB)......he wants to play QB
Last I heard he was making the move to WR. Back in December he insisted on being a QB. I thought he had since realized where he can make the most money. He's 6'2", 225, so he's definitely big enough to be a RB (which he won't be anyway), so perhaps all of your info on Robinson is sloppy.
