Slaton is a damn good player for sure, but when you have dre out there it certainly helps your running game.

If Revis can contain johnson then Slaton can introduce himself to Jenkins all day long. In fact i think getting pressure on Shaub and keeping Johnson in check is the key to whole game.

Williams is a scary mofo, but we have more weapons on O than the Texans

8-8 sounds about right. Just depends on the O and how the D fares during the suspensions.

Ryan is going to have to get crafty to get pressure on Shaub, there is no doubt.

Blitz the Ghost on every passing down. He's gotta get lucky sooner or later. Hell, even a stopped clock is right twice a day..

While Uncle Rex ain't intimidated by BB, it won't help win any games. I'd say 7-9

    I'll play this game.

The Jets win total this season will equal the first number of Mark Sanchez's quarterback rating. If Mark finishes with a 83.5, 8 wins. 90.2, 9 wins. My science is too tight, sons.

I'm going 8-8, I guess. In a lot of cases teams win and lose games they shouldn't. Other than that, I think they go 8-3 before their QB gets hurt and then drop 4 of the last 5.
After the season he'll announce his retirement and decide he wants to sell crank out of the basement of his 8000 square foot house. Its all too familiar.

Or... put Gholston on an island and stack up the other side... shadow Harris nearby and watch the fireworks fly!

8-8 if we are lucky. We are an injury to Jenkins away from 4-12.

Our rookie QB is inexperienced by college standards let alone pro standards. We got a rookie HC who talks a good game but on the field it feels like the same ol Jets. We are a solid team at like 3 positions. This does not = a good team.

Its still way to early to accurately guess. I would say 8-8 sounds about right, but if we can win in week one, and play the pats tight in week 2, everyone of us will begin to hope and expect the playoffs. Don't deny it. I could see this team gelling to go 10-6 just as easily as i can see them collapsing and going 6-10. We shall see.

    @ HOU
    NE
    TEN
    @ NO

It's very plausible that we lose all 4 of these games. Rookie QB, WR issue, Pace suspension, Ellis suspension, rookie HC...but most importantly tough competition.

Anyone who disagrees is extremely naive.

I can see them coming back and winning the next 4 though, 2 MIA, BUF & OAK.

This pretty much sums up where my head is at. Trading away picks year after year is not the way to go about building a winning team (although I admit I'm very happy with Revis Harris and Sanchez). The constant coaching carousel is also very disruptive.
