I'm quickly becoming a big fan of Jimmy Leonhard. Yeah, he's undersized, but he's very quick, takes great angles and has fantastic instincts. He's also a damn good tackler for his size. He's half a foot shorter than Rhodes and hits twice as hard.

Pace is great by the way. Can't wait to see him in this defense.

Jenkins is the best at playing football. Pace is best at watching you masturbate

Yeah whatever. I find it annoying that every time we get a small white guy that can play, he's some version of Wayne Chrebet.

I'm surprised that Woody Danhead wasn't at the top of it, honestly.

It's something to hold on to, lol.....

Calm down bro, just enjoying the Jets for a change. Everyime a hard working slighlty undersized white dude is good I compare him to Chrebet.

    It's a honor!

He did look good yesterday and got to the ball quickly. Even looked good in the blitz package. I was very happy with him yesterday!

The thing is, I would put Ellis and Pace in there as well. When you think about it, the Jets have two defensive stars (undisputedly top 5 at their respective positions) in Jenkins and Revis and then a whole bunch of very good (top 12 at their respective positions) in Ellis, Pace, Rhodes, Harris and Scott. Throw in some average at worst starters (Thomas, Sheppard, Leonhard and Douglas) and quality backups (DeVito, Greene, Pouha, Westerman, Murrell, Trusnik and Lowery) along with Rex Ryan's defensive schemes and the Jets just may very well have a pretty damned scary defense this season.

And make no mistake, Gholston is progressing. He still only really has one pass rush move (his bull rush) but he is actually damn good at it and he is getting a lot better with the rest of his play. If Gholston learns how to use his speed and his hands better than he currently does (which isn't too well, but still better than his limited time last season) then he could get to where people wanted him to be by the end of the season.

    Jesus Christ!!

    Alright......

Nobody can take a fucking joke- I promise no one shall ever be compared to Wayne Chrebet again. It's ignorant and damn near impossible, with his work ethic, size, and race, he truly is one of a kind.

Now please 10 more people jump in and say don't compare him, I really need to hear it.

    Thanks in Advance!!

Harris will prove he might be best

unlike most of our threads in here this is a fun debate and one that lends to the fact we have talent on defense.
I thought Harris from the moment he played as Rookie was special and is going to be the guy that make running backs just give it up. He really really hits hard, technically. He wraps and he plants you. I am so impressed with this guy and truly believe we have the potential to have 3 all pro defense players, not pro bowl all pro. Revis, Jenkins, Harris.

tough call between revis and jenkins, i will say i said it last week that you cant expect revis to shut down johnson.... well he did!

granted schaub didnt have shit for time to throw the ball or let a route develop but i still give revis a shit ton of credit for hte job he did yesterday.

    You forgot Gholston.

I picked Bart Scott, and I really think it is between him and Jenkins. Scott, in my opinion, will prepetuate the attitude and intensity this team will need to carry throughout the entire season. Also, Kerry Rhodes said today on NFL Radio what since Bart and the other Ravens have come in, it is Scott who has taken over Kerry's previous role of making presnap calls and adjustments.
