he was the nickelback for the 49ers last yr anytime you see a db able to hit like that its gotta excite you. and he looked beyond solid in coverage. hope this is a week in week out turnout from him.
And Lowery takes out the one blocker on that side of the line. Someone has to take up the blocker. Check out 3min 52seconds into
Part of the problem I have with spotting Lowery is that he changed his number from last year to this year. Last year he was #34, this year he is #21. That was the number Ty Law used after we picked him up.
That's the same thing with me, I have no idea why. I see #21 and he becomes invisible. Maybe it's just a psychological block from 2008.
"This video is no longer available..." But everyone is right. It was Strickland, Rhodes, and Lowery, all coming from the left side against one poor running back, and it was awesome. When's the last time anyone here saw an overload blitz left using two corners and a safety?
That was a very impressive hit It's been a while since I can recall one of our db's sticking somebody like that far down the field.
It's pretty amazing how we've been able to recharge our secondary this year after it was such a weakness last year. With Lowery, Strickland, and a seemingly-more-solid Smith all looking promising along with our highly talented starters, we'll have a lot to throw against the stronger offenses in our division
