Edge's general point is a fair one. After the Pats looked so so against Buff, a narrow, unconvincing win by the Jets this weekend (while still a win and I would love that) would more likely be received by the media as proof of NE decline than of Jet ascendency. A convincing win, however, and Edge is right - THAT would get everyone's attention. On the other hand, I don't place much value in this attention stuff by the sports media. Who needs their respect? I just want the Jets to do well, have the games be fun to watch and think about when they're over. And beat NE, by one point or more.
They forgot to add Lito Sheppard to that article. Yeah he got picked on in the Preseason but come on...You're talking about a pro-bowl caliber corner here and I'm surprised he didn't mention him. Does he know he is on the jets or does he still think he's on the Eagles?
People are writing us off 'cause we are the Jets. that's it. No more explanation would be given if you even put a gun to their head. They'd answer "'cause they are the Jets"..
It could happen. Sanchez looked much better last week than he did during pre-season. Running game is solid, and under-rated. "D" looks good. ...Anyway, that's what the new guy thinks...
Thats EXACTLY what I have been saying all offseason. Ive been telling anyone that would listen, THE JETS ARE COMING!
Sanchez did get very fortunate with his throws on Sunday. He could have had 3 picks pretty easily. That's just growing pains, because it's clear he's not going to be a pick machine, but if he throws just like he did last week against the Pats they probably will pick off a couple on him.
