Not sure if anyone is watching this? but its a 5 part series on the history of the AFL, and boy this is some good stuff.
This reminds me to DVR "Inside the NFL" this week to hear their take and of course the cool voice of the narrator for the Jets/Pats segment.
I didn't realize it was a 5-part series. I was wondering why they went through the entire show without mentioning the Jets who were, of course, the AFL team responsible for the merger with the NFL (by winning SB3). BTW, watching the clip of the Jets-pats game on Inside the NFL was fun.
they werent respnsible for the merger with the nfl but did give the AFL respect and showed it deserved to be in the same league as the NFL teams
Its on at 8pm Wednesday night, right before Inside the NFL. They have showed two so far, so there are three left. This is a must watch, its GREAT!
Its done by Steve Sabol who does everything for NFL Films, so this could re-air on NFL Network. Im sure we should be able to find it somewhere online, hopefully someone could upload it. And I have to say one thing, I was sooo against us wearing the Titans uniforms, I hated them with a passion, but now after watching the first two episodes I can now really appreciate them. This is a must watch for any Jets fan, great work by Showtime.
Anybody watch Inside the NFL this week? During the Jets/Pats segment, Cris Collinsworth pretty much said that it was more the Patriots offense struggling during the game that the Jets won. He said, they had 3 trips to the red zone, if this was the 2007 Patriots, this game would've been over before halftime. He really needs to get off their dick.
Is Showtime going to rerun the first episode? I missed that (and it's not even on demand), saw the second one which was pretty good.
Yea I do remember that, but it was cool to see behind the scenes. Ryan's postgame speech in the locker room was awesome. And the first episode is more of a must see than the second. The second episode pretty much focused on the Texans (Cheifs) and the Bills. I'm guessing that this will re-air on the NFL Network because showtime is not re-airing them, and they are only on demand for a week and than removed. This has to be going to NFL Network or DVD.
Great show, only seen the first ep. There's a scene in which Rex Ryan was explaining how in those days the defense would never give up and would even smack around any player when they were out of bounds. Rex just grinned and said too bad that's not allowed nowadays.
