Week 4 and it's already the Annual Gang Green Plan for the Superbowl Extravaganza. The mayor should be planning the parade route. Sanchez starting his HOF induction speech. And Ryan getting sized up for his ring. At least the thread about going undefeated can be deleted.
The Colts and Pats are a combined 7-1. And yes, I know where that one loss came from. Right now the Colts make me more nervous than any other team in the conference. They're just sort of flying under the radar, but Manning has looked very sharp (even more so than usual). As for the Pats... yesterday was a good win, but the schedule ahead is pretty tough and they're still getting things on-track offensively. It's always hard to tell with this team. They may go 10-6 or they may run the table. I'd also say that hte Steelers have been right up there with the Colts and Pats... I mean, two Super Bowls in the past few years doesn't seem like a "changing of the guard" to me.
Manning always looks sharp in the regular season. Ari should have been but they haven't played well yet. That was the one game I was impressed w/ Indy but again Peyton always does pre-January.
umm the colts and the pats are still playing pretty good football, but I get what you're saying down the road. ^I never wrote this....
That all sounds really good but even if we do make the playoffs(can't believe we are talking about this) how far are we going with an offense that scores 10 pts? I can only hope as the season progresses that Sancez gets more comfortable and the running game finds it's groove. If this happens we may just catch lightning in a bottle.
Yes. And there were several uncalled flags on N.O. on key plays early that should have changed the score differential. And with that this was only a 17-10 game late. With only 3 points given up by the D.
they scored 24 opening week on the road. then 24 again against a good 0-4 Titans defense. then they play arguably the best team in the league with a damn good defense on the road and score 10 points and all of the sudden this team is in bad shape?
Yeah I probably came off as too much of a douche to him....... gee go figure as I have never done that before. lol You may be right. When I say negative, I was not taking a shot at his football knowledge. I totally respect that. Most negative people are just negative and have no idea why. I guess they just like peeing on someone's cheerio's. With B'way that is never the case. I just thought years of being a Jet fan wore him down, as we all know it hasn't been easy...... Obviously from his name he is completely correct about the prior front office. For instance, one of the reasons I took so long to join this website (I lurked for a year or two) was although I loved the team I just couldn't stand the leadership (Bradway/Edwards) even thinking about them made me nauseous.................... So his name is a non-factor. I think where I get the really negative stuff was from the 07' draft where I think he went completely bonkers without considering the players. Looking back I would rather have the players they picked then say 7-8 different ones they could have had if they stood pat. Without getting into the historical analysis of trading up for players....... Further, looking back he was totally correct about Mangini. For instance, I was certainly wrong about him after 07' and realized my mistake about the Seattle game, 1 1/2 years too late. Anyway , I haven't really followed his views much as he isn't a troll or obnoxious about his opinions and thought it a complete reversal and was curious as to why he was so effusive. I honestly laughed my ass off thinking he was a more optimistic poster than I was......... He is one of the select group whose opinions I actually enjoy reading. (You on the other hand. :lol
i agree i like this optimism. For once i actually felt pretty positive about a loss yesterday. if sanchez had not played like a noob yesterday we very well could have won. I also feel that sanchez is smart and will learn a lot of from yesterday.
This is why I listen to everything bradway says. Hand him any of my votes for most knowledgeable poster of the year.
Got to give it to Tannenbaum. Moving up to get Sanchez, Greene, Revis and Harris. D Brick and Mangold have been incredible not to mention the FA's Faneca, Woody, Shott, Leonard and Pace. This was about as good a game I have seen a Jets team play under pressure since the Bengals game in the 02 playoffs. I didn't believe we could go this far this soon. I was wrong, this team was built and we have a HC who knows how to play with the toys he was given.
