True, it is starting to look like he will be the odd man out with the addition of boars head and thomas moving to OLB. If he doesn't get cut before the start of the season hobson gives us depth and some experience going into the 06 campaign.

Guys, why is everyone so convinced we're actually running a 34 next year. I say we stick with the 43 for another.

Seragusa hasn't played in years man! The reason they drafted Ngata this year was because they didn't have anyone to keep him clean, because he is average when he can't roam free.

Well we are loaded at LB atm ... I think its a solid bet we play at least 65% 34.

Merriman isn't a burner? A 34 OLB is a speedy undersized DE. John Abraham was perfect for that role, but even he was slightly bigger than most guys like him.

we didn't draft one because they are set on Bryan Thomas to play that role. They drafted and signed guys to compete for the second ILB spot and the other OLB spot, Vilma will obviously get one place.

    So so wrong...

Vilma will stay in the inside...

And its not just going to be a 3-4 we will be a 4-3 also. Most likely.

Since this is still a rebuilding year, we will definitely get more weapons next year. But for now, we can always blitz our safeties. Bryan Thomas was projected to be a "tweener" out of college, he has the most to gain from a 34 defense. Vilma will go wherever we put him. Putting him on the outside of a 34 might benefit us depending on who we play. If the matchups are there, we will run our offense and defense accordingly.
