Since we have already lost Leon Washington, and Larry Johnson threads abound, how about just combining everything and going for a cheaper option alltogether. Bring back Leon Johnson, he is only 35.
Plus he could be our third string Quarterback too!! There's no downside here, I'm sure we'll NEEEEVVVEEERRR need to use him.
you mean fred baxter, the tight end right? Good ol days.... (well, i was young so it seemed like the good old days, i guess the real good ol days would be 1969)
Brad Baxter, FB, was our short yardage back in the early 1990s and (I think) held the rushing TDs record for the Jets until TJ broke it last year, with 11 rushing TDs in 1991.
Baxter shared the record with Johnny Hector (1987) and Emerson Boozer (1972). Curtis Martin broke it in 2004 with 12 rushing touchdowns. Then Thomas Jones scored 13 rushing touchdowns in 2008.
i would take leons johnson (credit to espns whatever his name is) or brad baxter anyday!!! johnny hector wouldnt be a bad addition either. maybe adrian murrell could make it a family thing.
