I watched the game at a bar with no sound. What happened on that play where it looked like Miami fumbled, Jets came up with ball, but the ball was just handed to Miami and they ran the play before Ryan challenged. First of all it looked like bs that the refs did not discuss and simply gave miami the ball. Second Ryan needs to throw that right away. Maybe because the Jets already wasted a timeout on the awful 2 pt conversion he was hesitant, but you gotta let it fly there
In his post game interview the upstairs crew said that MIA TE came up with the ball. Ryan was ready to challenge and upstairs Eff'd up.
I dont think that play could be challenged the refs alrdy ruled him down. i think the refs wouldnt have let ryan challenged.
After watching it (on stream on CPU) it looked inconclusive. The issue was we burned a timeout on that botched 2 pt conversion. Not that it mattered with the timeout but it may have been an issue at the time.
Rule changed, you can challenge if a player is down. You can't challenge the play if forward progress was stopped and then fumbled.
