That was two years ago, and looking at the video you can obviously see that Allen was one of the only defensive players actually trying to make the play. How do you expect a safety, any safety to stop Ronnie Brown in a head on collision once he's running downhill???.. I don't know many who can. It wasn't an uncommon occurance to see Ronnie Brown running over defenders in his senior year. Allen wasn't alone by any means in those regards....
actually he looks dencent in those videos his form is good, he just doesn;t have the strength to stop brown, in the NFl he'd have a lot less chance of a back coming untouched through two layers of D on him
Interesting to say the least. I hope you realize that the 2nd game we played you we had Ricky back and our two guys split carries. Care to refresh my memory on the combined stats for our two backs in that game? Ronnie Brown 12 Attempts for 45 Yards - 3.8 YPC Ricky Williams 14 Attempts for 70 Yards - 5.0 YPC The first game we played you, Ronnie was still getting adjusted to the NFL and we didnt even have Ricky back yet. I think its a bit of a farce to sit there on your high horse yappin about how much ronnie got owned by your beloved jets when we didnt even need to rely on ronnie in the 2nd game. We'll see this year though, as Ronnie has been given his chance to shine now that Ricky is back with his sticky icky.
