Really? Why on God's green Earth would you say that? Great job on Ryan's part, we don't need a hurt QB.

i remember a coach of ours taking a knee to set up a long fg instead of using the last play to try and get the ball a little closer. i think everyone knows the rest of that story. so not even the dumbest thing a jets coach has done in the last ten years.

Have a sense of humor. You really think Rex would bring a baseball coach in to teach how to slide? There is obviously more going on behind the scenes. Maybe Girardi talked to Sanchez about handling the NY media, or gave a championship speech to the team.

itd be even better if they had a custom made NY Jets baseball helmet and he pulled an Ocho Cinco and pulled it out from under the bench after the TD

he needs to learn to slide....you cant get knee injuries running off toward the sideline when you are the franchise.....

Is it me or does anyone else feel like all METS fans just started stomping their feet and shit their pants?

I'm sure they'd rather have Jose Reyes come show him Leader Skills and how to handle the NY media...

    I KID OF COURSE!!!!!

Are whiny Mets fans really complaining about this?

Holy crap, get over your hatred of the Yankees.

The reason he did this obviously wasn't to teach him how to slide but to implant it in his brain so in the heat of the moment he will remember not to try and truck a defender.

EDIT: Actually I hope he sticks around until after the game, because he thinks Owens will own Revis.

teaching people to slide?! It's harder to eat a hoagie. Hint: use a little more pressure at the back so everything doesn't squeeze out when you bite. Alternate hint: don't use mayo. There, now hold a press conference.

Sounds like a great idea bringing in a former catcher to teach the kid how to slide! Since he knows how best to avoid getting tagged. Oh wait, this is football not baseball! Maybe Sanchez is auditioning? He did throw out the first pitch at Shea if I recall. Maybe he thinks the kid has something. Or I just rambled here, lol.
