The INTs ended up being similar to punts (although not on 4th down).

Zbikowski caught his 47 yards from the LoS.

Collins caught his 24 yards from the LoS, but returned it 25 yards. So not so good for Flacco's INT.

Both were thrown on 1st and 10.

He had the benefit of being on the sidelines for three years, but Rodgers has been far better than Flacco in their careers so far - 50 TDs / 18 INTs with 7.8 YPA versus 27 TDs / 20 INTs with 7.2 YPA over the last two years.

^ Flacco is at a much earlier stage. Second season, compared to fifth.

Even so, Flacco is one spot ahead of Rodgers this season in DYAR and DVOA.

    Since his career began.

Great punt by Baltimore, followed by a great tackle by Williams.

I want to know what makes him so good?

The guy is 17-10 as a starter and that's pretty good - but 95% of those wins are because of defense and a solid running game.

Sure, Joe Flacco has a hell of an arm, but he has been highly inaccurate.

14 TDs and 12 INTs as a rookie is excusable, because hey, he's a rookie.

13 TDs and 9 INTs as a second year starter isn't anything to brag about.

I really don't see how you can call him "good". The only things good about him are his arm strength and height.

yeah, I've seen you say that before, and it's not true. There's more to a QB than arm strength and height.

Flacco has some awful receivers, and for him to do what he's done so far is pretty impressive.

7.4 YPA and only 9 INTs with Mason and Washington and Clayton?

You won't find many QBs who have had more success in their first two seasons recently, aside from Ben Roethlisberger.

    ...but what has he done?

His team is one loss away from being a .500 team.

Derrick Mason is old, but he's not awful. Mark Clayton is small, but he's not awful. Todd Heap can't stay healthy, but he's not awful.

You know what's awful? Joe Flacco's pocket presence.

When you have guys like Ray Rice and Willis McGahee to hand the ball to, your job must be pretty easy. Even with a good running game, Flacco still manages to miss on a lot of passes.

You can't call him "bad" either though, as of now, he is good, not great.

I never said he was bad. I'd call him overrated or mediocre-at-best.

Also, I'm not saying he won't become a good quarterback, but right now, he isn't. It bothers me when people label him that way. He's done absolutely nothing in this league as a passer.
