What fucking stats say one player matches up against each other? Us as Jets fans know Lowery's game, and we just feel he matches up better against Collie's game. What is there to argue? Lowery and Lito are pretty equal in overall skill, but one does other things better. Lito has been banged up a lot this season so Lowery has playd # 2 a lot.
They are sharing reps 50% 50%... Rex saw that Lito didn't match up well against Collie 'cause he wasn't physical enough so he decidd to put Lowery in this time around. We don't need stats because we know our player strengths and weaknesses... like you know th Colts'.
The same stats Jets fans use with Revis! It's that simple...Lito and Lowery didn't split snaps 50/50 either...Lito was the starter period. I understand the "I feel" emotion, but if you make a statement, "I feel" you should be able to support it with something...How many picks does Sheppard have this season and Lowery? How many passes defenced? What's Lowery 40 time vs Lito's? What strong rcvr Lito or Lowery defensed and what was their numbers... You provide this information and it strengthens the "I feel" argument. I can say "I feel" Wayne got the best of Revis in week 16... if you watched the game, you would be pressed to deny this, but if you look at the final stats you would say Wayne was blanketed. Or do you disagree?
Queer, don't come on our board and argue with us about OUR team. I can guaran-fuckin'-tee you that even the most retarded Jets' fans know more than you about this team. Lowery is the better, more athletic corner. Everything you say will be wrong. Also, I "feel" like you're a troll - go back to your Colts' board and have an e-circle jerk with the rest of those bandwagon fans. Go Jets!
regardless of his starting position the Jets are gunna need him to come through huge.. It doesnt matter where on the field you are, if youre stuggling, mannings gunna find you.. he needs to come through if the jets wanna win tonight
Don't have stats, just going by what I have seen from him this season. Shepherd tends to play off the line and matches up well vs speed recievers. Collie is not a speed reciever, his is a quick reciever which will require a more physical/quick CB to play him up on the line. This is why Collie ate up shepherd last time he played him, Collie just stayed underneath him and was able to use his quick feet to stop and get open for Payton to find him. I would much rather (and apparently Rex agrees) have Shepherd play against their speed guy Garcon.
I got you...You CAN'T support your argument... Trolls are the ones who make statements and lack any support... Kind of like your post... TROLL
Please stop, you are embarassing youself and the 63,000 Colts fans in your stadium, oh wait sorry, I meant 45,000 Colts fans.
Which one of us is a Jets' fan? Who's been a member of this board since 2003? GTFO. Here's some support: Lito Sheppard got worked by Austin Collie in Week 16. I think it's safe to say that starting the younger, quicker, more athletic Dwight Lowery is a good move. Reggie Wayne didn't do shit against Revis in Week 16. Yea, he got open a couple times, but did Manning get him the ball? No.
If stats are how you measure a CB abilities, here you go! Shepherd 31 tackles, 8PD's and 1 INT in 11 games, probably 10 starts Lowery 24 tackles, 9PD's and 3 INT's. in 13 games, probably 6 starts
Thanks, that's what I was asking for...looking at those stats I could understand to a degree why a person may feel Lowery is better... or a person could say Lowery was challenged more the time he was on the field. But either way it looks as if Lowery can play the position...
So far as Wayne, I would disagree... as I mentioned earlier, stats would say one thing, but if you watched the game, you would say something different... Revis will focus on not getting beat deep again, this will leave the underneath and back should throws open for Wayne....Revis is a pro bowl corner who will have his hands full today
I did watch the damn game. Reggie Wayne got open deep and Peyton Manning missed him. Wayne got open again on a quick read in the endzone and Manning missed him again. Manning's inaccuracy has a lot to do with his respect for Darrelle Revis. You don't see that guy miss too many throws.
