Is any PS3 owners plan on buying this game or know anything about it? I guess you can have up to 256 players in a match which is absoultly insane. I am yet to find any reviews on it but am very interested in signing my life off on another game.

i know that zipper was in charge of making it and they made the original socom games for ps2. i sure as hell hope they figured out how to fix the lag that used to plague their otherwise excellent shooters. those games had trouble running 16 players at a time only a few years ago.

I missed the online beta but a few weeks back it was available for download on PSN. I guess they've had to reduce the graphics a little bit in order to avoid framerate drops with 256 players going at a time. I saw some vids on youtube and it still looks good. I am pretty sure friendly fire is permanently on, so you can kill teammates by accident, like Socom.

I will wait till it's out for a while before buying it and see if it's worth it. I am already a little tired of MW2 but I'll keep playing until I level up to 70. I think Battlefield 2 will be sick though....waiting for that in March.

I'm really on the fence about this game. I played both Betas, and still couldn't really make up my mind. Yes, the matches are HUGE! There are lots of objectives based on what game mode you play. But the pace just feels slow to me, maybe it's because the matches last sooo long. I prefer MW2 over it, for the smaller maps, and large amount of weapon customization options. But if you're looking for huge battles, MAG is the way to go. It feels like a mix between Battlefield and Modern Warfare 2.

I really like it too. There's a lot more strategy involved in it than there is in MW2.

It's taking me awhile to get used to it. My kill death ratio is shit right now.

I'm only using the marksman's rifle - I've already equipped the bi-pod. It's pretty dirty even though I don't have a scope that can zoom yet. It's not very powerful either, but a head shot's a head shot.

I'm working on upgrading my sniper rifle when I get another skill point.

I tried the beta and didn't love it like I do MW2. I think that it may be living on it's capability to handle as many people as it does and took away from the gameplay a little. HOWEVER, I only played the beta and there may have been changes to make it feel like a better game. I just don't think it's a game for me.

I have played about 20 games now. I have yet to have a single lag problem. Currently I am only buying points in the assault rifle tree. It has made my ak74 very formidable..the grip actually speeds up my swivel around to aim time, and the red dot sight, unlike cod, makes a huge difference. It also allows me to take some of the same shots guys with lower level sniper rifles are taking.

Still, if I charge, I find myself dead pretty fast. In this game it looks like my style of play will not work. I have to sit back in a nice spot and just hold the line until they kill me as opposed to say, cod, where I just equip akimbo mini uzis and run up behind fuckers for 27-3 kill/death ratios.

I haven't played MAG but it seems as though they've gone for more realism and strategy as opposed to arcade style CoD gameplay.

If I had more tiem for vids I think I would love MAG...I loves Socom back in the day but always have hated Halo, which is close to what CoD has become.

However, I can play a quick 10 minute online game in Call of Duty, and in MAG/Battlefield, one round can last 20 mins...and because of the way the gameplay is set up, you may only see 3 or 4 enemies in that time. More realistic and strategic, but less action.

I plan to buy Bioshock 2 and probably Battlefield:BC2 after I level up to 70 in MW2....so MAG will not likely make my purchase list.

Still haven't competed Fallout 3! sheesh...

    lol..i wish you'd only see 3 or 4 enemies in a match. then i'd be 4-0.

instead you wind up fighting the whole fucking team

I snipe the entire game. I like to find a nice, covered spot and take out a few guys. If they figure out where I am, I move to another location.

I guarantee that you'll see way, way more than 3 or 4 guys in a game. You'll more than likely see at least 25-30 enemies per game if you play conservatively.

It got a 7.0 on IGN, which isn't that bad. A lot of fags are upset that it doesn't have a campaign mode...when it's clearly a massive multiplayer shooter.

The graphics aren't even close to MW2's, but they had to take it down a notch to make the games lag free. It's pretty awesome to play in a 256 player match with no lag...

And I have found from playing MW2 that it's not exactly spectacular....still a lot of low resolution stuff mixed in here and there.

Sabotage...aka Attack and Defend in MAG is great on certain maps. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to win while attacking on the S.V.E.R. maps.
