"[Mark Sanchez] who was 30 minutes away from being the first Rookie QB to ever play in the Super Bowl..."

Man, that twists my stomach every time I hear it. But a nice little interview for Mark.

yeah, but the comforting fact is that no rookie has ever done that.

The football gods do not allow such things to happen.

Ur right, but the football gods loved our ground n' pound ol' school style of football. It would've been pretty nice if they gave him a break by letting him go to the SB...and win it. There's gotta be a first for everything, right?

    Very true.

He was the 1st rookie QB in the SB era to win his 1st 3 consecutive starts. Why not be the 1st rookie QB to go to the SB?

The best thing is we know what we saw in the playoffs is the QB he's going to be. What's even better is that if the Jets don't face the Michael Jordan of football ever again in the playoffs, they probably will be the team to go to the SB during the Rex/Sanchez era. Here's to a home playoff game.

Just finished listening. Pretty good interview.

Demarcus Ware broke Sanchez chops about the SI cover saying it looked like mustard residue around his mouth. lol

Sanchez is just so impressive in front of the camera. He comes across as being confident (not cocky), respectful, and intelligent. If he progresses on the field the way we hope and the Jets become a consistent winner, then Sanchez could become the face of the NFL.

The biggest thing I took from that interview was that he simply "get's it." He seems to know exactly what is expected of him and needed from him.

Just watched that and am just happy that the Jets finally have a true "face" of the franchise who happens to be talented as well. With Mark at the forefront, we will definitely more of the Jets in the mix for primetime status in NFL circles as far as scheduling and overall attention...

Mark Sanchez will be a great QB.

    Fuckin...book it.

I was el riding and I threw out the idea that this guy can conceivably be playing for the Jets at 40.

It's because we have this guy, not Rex Ryan, that I think we'll become a top franchise.

And to think I thought this fucker shouldn't start as a rookie...tf do I know.

ICAM He has such poise on and off the field. He's so well spoken and impressive. He has a cool confidence about him but doesn't come off as arrogant.

Sanchez is a well spoken, mature, kind person.

I really hope he can stay that way because this fat douche will test the shit out of him.

If he was on the Giants he'd have to hide his penis.
