The big man Jenkins in the middle. I want to see him destroy centers again, then sit on Tom Brady

Beer has never let a Jets fan down. With that said, I went with Greene. My pick was probably based as much on hope as it was upcoming excitement. But g'damn, can he can turn it on and blow through/over/by defenders!

I'm nervous about LW's return and possible impact. He didn't do too much before he got injured last season. His #1 strength is his speed; that compound leg fracture might slow him up a step or two, even if it heals well.

I don't think Rex and Schotty will let Sanch air it out too, too much, and they'd be right not to. We can't afford nearly as many interceptions next year. So I think we'll see a year of blossoming for the Keller and Sanchez connection.

I did too. I feel Greene could end up being a better deal than Sanchez. Could, not will. I'm excited about all of these. Even beer. It would be something special if all these guys stay healthy.

I'm so opposed to Greene getting a heavier load...i honestly think we should groom him more. I think we should use him the same way as last year....late in the season.

This is the first I've heard this stance from anyone. You care to explain why?

Unlike young QB's, RB's can hit the road running. In my opinion, Greene is that type of back. Keep in mind, he will get all the OTA's and pre-season at #1.

I think it would be a mistake to keep Greene on the sideline early in the season, but the Jets should definitely mix in more carries with the other HB(s?) on the roster. Keeping them both(all?) around 12-15 unless one is just destroying the opposing defense would be my favorite move.

I don't think he can carry the load on his own. I think Washington is suspect.

Jones was our workhorse whether anyone wants to believe it or not. And his best attribute, he protected the football. Last season was perfect for Greene b/c he didnt get the bulk of his carries until midway to late in the season. He was fresh and added a nice bang to our one two combo. In the playoffs the rotation with one series Jones, one series Greene I felt was genius. The defense keeps Jones to 2 or 3 yds and then Greene banged them for 6 or 7.

We are gonna need another back and in my eyes Greene is still very much a rookie. We need a vet and I'm totally bummed that we lost Jones. I understand that it was a money issue though.

The Jets are built to run and then hit em with the play action. I just hope we don't settle for some shit back.

    Stats carries fumbles
    Jones 331 ........ 2
    Greene 108 ...... 3

No one on this team can carry the load on their own, the offense is not built for that. The Jets definitely need another HB on the roster to split carries between the two.

Leon Washington's return is number 1 for me. Leon has an uncanny ability to convert those 3rd and 6-7s that the Jets struggled with this season. I know he's coming off a serious leg injury, but all reports are saying that he will be back to form since there was no ligament damage. Also, when you have a big bruising running back like Shonn Greene, there is no better compliment than a fast guy like Leon Washington. Anyone that has every played football against a team that had a scat back and a bulldozer will agree with me. When you face a team of backs like this, it throws you game off in many ways. It takes several plays to get your pursuit angles down and also the way you breakdown for an open field tackle. You have a Leon Washington type back coming for you, you have to break down, watch his hips, and then adjust to his lateral movements. If you break down when Shonn Greene is coming at you, you will get your ass run over before you can even blink.

Im pumped up to see Jenkins and Leon back, almost equally.

But im more concerned with Sanchez year two. If he can throw half the INT's he did his rookie year, we should be good to go long in the playoffs, again!.

Gotta say, I am sooo excited that we're not heading into another offseason where we're worried about who's going to be our QB in the coming season.

I think that with fewer picks and a better command of the offence he'll be able to lead.

If they had more confidence in him in the 2nd half of the Colts game, they wouldn't have shut it down the way they did.

When was the last time the Jets entered camp with an uncontested starting QB who lasted the whole season without getting hurt or benched? 2001?
