I was looking through a few articles on PFT and one of the links took me to a SI article on free agency winners and losers from a few years back. According to this douche the Jets got a "thumbs down"...(jenkins, faneca, woody) Turns out that the addition we made that year ended up turning the team around. Plus I love to see these know it all writers eat their words.

The only accurate point in that article in terms of additions was where they questioned Jenkins' durability.

I remember this article. Our FA's have for the most part worked since Tannenbaum took over.

I'm sure SI changed their tune the second Favre put on hte uniform. Something like, "Two very enthusiastic thumbs up and a big toe to boot"

I like how angering(and potentially losing) Coles was supposed to be a huge detriment to the team.

IMHO he is the keyest part of or D since up to this point we have not upgraded our DE position so we need him to create havoc on both run & pass plays especially in the middle of the other side O otherwise our DBs will constantly be under pressure

Don't kill the messenger. He was just posting the article. If you have a problem with what was written in the article, take it up with its writer.

Looking back the guy that wrote it is a schmuck. Like anything he was just trying to eyeball the transactions.

The Jenkins trade alone made that a great offseason. LOL adding in Pace, Richardson and Faneca. They are all pivotal in the foundation to a solid team.

Without Coles and before Braylon id say our receiving corps were relatively crippled. Leaves me rather amazed how Sanchez threw for almost 300 yards against houston in his first game ever.

All the FA signings that year have worked out. So a thumbs down is just wrong...

The Bears went to the Superbowl with Grossman. Thats not a testament to his skill. Our defense was absolutely beastly , especially in the beginning of the season.

No TDs allowed in the first 2 weeks. And then a bunch of turnovers that lead to points against the Titans.

I mean you cant denying that having Cotch as our ONLY real WR didnt significantly hurt us.

And you KNOW we never would of made the AFC championship, let alone the playoffs if we weren't so lucky as to get Braylon mid season.

We also never would have made the AFC championship with Laveranues Coles as our #1.

Depends if he played like he did as a Jet or as he did like a Bengal.

And the most important part of Coles being our #1 means Cotch would be the #2 . So instead of the Revises of the NFL covering Cotch, hed be covered by the Lito Sheppards.

Obv Coles aint as good as Braylon, but hes definitely better than Clowney

Mormon leaders who use members to rat out each other are really really low. It makes my skin crawl. It sounds like your PS might be an OK guy, but someone pointed out that they could get another name and pressured him into that call. They talk about this stuff a lot in meetings, who is sinning with whom.
