Jacobs is the next best thing since Bettis? What???? There is a reason that the Giants were looking to draft a RB this year, Jacobs is powerful but he fumbles way to often and struggled a lot in goal line situations last year. He wouldn't be better than what we already have, to be honest I'd rather have Houston than Jacobs.
Hes more of an all purpose back. The only reason why they tried using him in short yardage was because he could move the pile, even though hes run too upright and that led to a few fumbles. Other than that, in preseason, he was a monster when they used him as an all purpose back. He just doesnt get burn as an all purpose back because you could get Tiki to break a run for a huge gain where as Jacobs running in the same hole would get like 5 yds. Its gonna be like Curtis and Lamont Jordan all over again. You got an excellent talent waiting in the wings, but your starter is allready putting up ridiculous numbers(maybe more so for Tiki. Ever since hes fixed his fumbling, hes been a top 3 back)
The comparison of Jacobs to Bettis is the worst comparison i have ever seen. Maybe if you watched Giants games last year you would know that Brandon Jacobs had 5 attempts inside the 1 yard line and made just 1. 1! I wouldnt trade Kingsbury for Jacobs. No offence, but horrible idea
Not without good reason. The guy has been a serious disappointment so far. Why should we have faith in his ability to anchor the DL?
