Examining each team's draft needs April 14, 2010 - by PFW staff In the following tables, we focus on each team's top five needs going into the draft. We also show where the team ranked last season in rushing and passing offense, run and pass defense and turnover differential. In addition, we list notable offseason additions and subtractions to the roster, and identify the offensive (OC) and defensive (DC) coordinators of the club (an asterisk indicates the coordinator is new in 2010). AFC EAST ~ ~ N.Y. Jets DE OLB FS RB OG With Shaun Ellis approaching his mid-30s and Marques Douglas not certain to return, a talented five-technique would bolster the line. Vernon Gholston has been a colossal disappointment, and the OLB spot opposite Calvin Pace can be upgraded. Kerry Rhodes' playing style didn't jive with Rex Ryan's mentality, so a long-term solution at FS is needed. It's Shonn Greene's time, and an "L.T." revival is unlikely, so a young backup could be added. Both starting guards are north of 30, and depth could be added inside. > http://www.profootballweekly.com/2010/04/14/examining-each-teams-draft-needs
5 needs, 5 picks. Get it done Tanny. If the trench depth is taken care of, this team will flourish this season.
dline and oline depth along with another brusier hb then use the 2011 strike draft to rebuild teams to replace the hold the fort guys we brought in this yr, cuz 2011 will be the strike yr any way
OG and DT should be above RB. CB and RB are toss-ups. Otherwise it looks good. I expect JT to sign. After he does, then I'd put it this way: DE (x2?), FS, LG, NT, RT, OLB, RB, CB, and in next year's draft we'll probably have to nab a slot WR. It also wouldn't hurt to improve the blocking TE position, and you can never have enough quality special teams players. And it'd be nice to have a quality punter. Ideally, I'd like to see us sign JT, draft a DE/FS/OG/NT and a developmental OLB. I wouldn't mind a CB, also. Hopefully (obviously) everyone pans out, and we keep/acquire enough picks to shore up the rest of the needs next year.
If we waste a top pick on a punter I'll punch myself in the face- The guy would have to be friggin amazing, be able to pin guys on the 1 from our own EZ.
If they do pick a punter with a top pick, can I do it for you? I worry that you might hold back a little bit.
