if Brown is healthy...that's a monster coup for the Skins. But i'm thinking the Saints know something the rest of the world doesn't......
After missing all last year with the hip injury and not knowing what the pick is makes it hard to see if this is a steal or not.
There has to be some issue with him cause he's legit as hell at the OT spot. Right now I'm saying great pickup for Washington but we'll see.
Could be a great move for the Skins. The NFC East is weird this year. Philadelphia and Washington are toss ups on how good they will be. Dallas should take the East and New York could be anywhere from 2nd to 4th.
haha I wonder if the Skins training staff really checked into Brown though because a conditional pick for a tackle is an absolute steal
Haha, nicely done. I wonder if they're looking at Brown as a LT or RT. I'm still convinced Trent Williams is more RT than Left, but Brown was the same way coming out. I'd bet they'd start things out Williams right and Brown left if he's healthy, then switch them for year 2. They can't have a rookie protecting DMac's blindside.
Jermon Bushrod played well at times last year. They also drafted a left tackle in the 2nd round. The Saints didn't feel they needed Brown anymore.
As per rotoworld...http://www.rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines.aspx?sport=NFL&hl=175004 According to Profootballtalk.com, unsigned restricted free agent LT Jammal Brown will not require a contract extension as a condition of Saturday's trade to the Redskins. Brown did his RFA tender of $3.619 million as part of the trade, and extension talks may begin down the line. The Saints' compensation hinges on the Donovan McNabb trade. If McNabb makes the Pro Bowl, or the Redskins win nine games or make the playoffs, the Eagles receive a third-round pick and the Saints get a fourth. If none of those happen, the Eagles will get the fourth-round pick and the Saints get the third-rounder. New Orleans will also send a conditional late-round pick back to the Washington while the Redskins owe the Saints a 2012 sixth-rounder if Brown makes the Pro Bowl plays 90 percent of the snaps in 2010. Jun. 19 - 5:37 pm et Interesting that it's tied to the Eagles. If Brown plays well, will be a good pickup for the Skins.
Yeah but still I'm surprised they got so little for him! I mean... a third round pick AT MOST for a LT?!? Bills should be kicking themselves...
