We will probably be drafting to improve the most dominant area of our team. The most dominant defender in the draft is Demario Williams. I feel this CS, the best college defenders dont wind up in the CFL or Arena league you have to draft them. I hope V.Young is there but imagine the presence DE:Mario Williams 1st rd.,Stanley McClover 2nd rd. O-line,O-line,O-line,O-line, O-line, O-line. Sign Terdell Sands, Trade John Abraham for Charles Rogers maybe find a couple db's in the AFl and we set. Fabini gone, Mawae gone,Chad & Curtis restructure we trade the rights to a future draft pick to the rams for Marc Bulger to come in and compete with Chad lift some weights and its on!
According to most brick would have the ebst value, but considering our situation and assuming that the FO doesn't feel the same way about chad as the last one did, we may have to go QB.
You might be suprised. Alot of people are labeling our pick as the hot spot for a trade because of players like Mario Williams, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, and AJ Hawk. Somebody at say 7-9 might get uncomfortbale that one of them wont fall. I think a very possible trade partner could be Detroit. I think Mike Martz is gonna want to try and turn around Joey Harrington's career. He had Orlando Pace in St. Louis so maybe he asks for D'Brick...then at 9 we get our man and more picks...
No way, sorry, but the entire organization has had enough of harrington, i'd see a trade with oakland being more likely.
Well I never said it was a guranteed done deal did I? I was just saying it is a possible scenario. Why would Oakland want to leap Green Bay? Just so they have their choice of AJ and Mario Williams? Doesn't seem like a logical move. If they stay at 6 they will get one or the other.
I like your logic, but I disagree on the player. I think Donnie Henderson will make a push to draft defense first. The Lions have a potent offense on paper, they just need a better gameplan, and maybe a better RB. For that matter maybe we can trade them Abraham for their pick(s)?
I say we draft DBrick and be done with it. If a team is willing to give up the farm for 1 player then maybe you move down but The value of getting a Franchise Left Tackle at 4 is too good to pass up. However like someone said i think that The Titans are going to draft him one ahead of us at the # 3 spot.
To be honest the Lions need alot on both sides of the ball. Donnie and Martz will both be pushing to get players. However the Lions have solid players at the skill positions. HB, WR and even TE...they have some really solid weapons, but as far as Oline goes they are just as bad as we are. It's almost impossible to predict trades.
If the Titans draft D'Brickashaw I would be pretty suprised. However if they did I would stay right at #4 and take Vince. He simply has too much too offer to pass up.
A good OL compensates for other offense problems. I can't remember the last time we used a high draft choice to shore-up the OL. If we had a superior OL I don't think our 64 million dollar QB or his back-up would have been injured.
Not really. What would they do? Throw a 6000th post party for me? It's not about the quantity, but the quality my friend. Although some of these guys around here might argue I am lacking the quality
Wow, aside from some insane suggestions like Lendale White at 4, most of the board wanted Brick. I can't recall the last time this board was so close in opinion. Many thought Leinart wouldn't fall to the Jets that year, and we know how that turned out!
