Just like the article said though, in your last 6 games when the Phins could've locked it up Henne threw 10 picks, and he only had a total of 14. If I were a Phin fan I would be alarmed at how he handles the pressure going forward. That loss against the Titans was crucial at that point and Henne threw 3 picks that game and the finisher INT in OT. Death of playoff dreams falls on Miami Dolphins' Chad Henne
woah I think you are jumping the gun here a tad. I'm not alarmed, I am excited for his potential. True enough he was most effective when he had Ronne and Ricky at his disposal. As we all know, most young Qb's play best with a good running game. We HAD to put the ball in his hands in some big spots ... sometimes he carried the team (the Pats game for example) and other times he fell (the Titans game), but he showed tremendous poise in several games for me to feel confident going forward. He wasn't exactly Dan Marino all the time but he wasn't exactly John Beck either. He had many big money throws in big situations for me to feel good about the position.
Yeah I like overacting when it comes to anything negative about the Dolphins, I'm forever wearing Jet goggles. lol
I think they have the Jets ranked around where they should be. I think Buffalo should be ranked 31rst though ahead of the Chiefs!
That's because they are taking the positon as a whole not just Sanchez vs. Henne. Right now Chad is their # 2. They also have Pat White who is a running QB at #3. We currently have Clemens at #2 and Ainge at #3.
The ranking is almost generous considering how little any of our QBs have accomplished at the NFL level thus far. No, I'm not hating on Sanchez.
I think our rank is right about where it should be. Sanchez is gonna fly under the radar with the "sophmore slump" bs until at least mid-season, and our backup situation is downright frightening...'99 wasn't long enough ago to forget. The rest of the list is a friggin tradgedy: Brees 7th? Really? What else does the guy have to do to prove he's top 5, if not 3? And for God's sakes enough with the Phillip Rivers bullshit. We picked him twice in the playoffs, one of which was just the football gods smiling on the Jets (for a change) but the other was just horrendous decision making. The guy can't win the big game. Period. Same with Romo if you ask me but at least he'll have another shot to prove he belongs there this year. Flacco over Aaron Rodgers... /facepalm. Between this and the Jamarcus Russel speculation I think I'm done with hack sportswriters til August. Completely unrelated to this...but the new Hard Knocks trailer came out last night. I DVR'd it and watched it 5 times, but it's not online anywhere that I can find, so if someone finds it before I do please post it for the TGG nation without HBO. Rex: "The Buzz is that the Jets are the team to beat." Can't fuckin wait.
