So how do bannings work around here anyway? I feel like I've seen people who were "banned" return. Are bannings not permanent? Is there a way to tell the permanent from the impermanent?
Hahahaha seeing Don get banned was funny. Don't see how anyone can dislike the moves. Minimal cost for players that may be cogs. It's not like anything close to the farm was given up. Lol they got Lance Berkman Kerry Wood and Austin Kearns without even giving up Ivan Nova.
Cashman was an absolute genius this week. I don't understand how anyone could feel differently. Not big splash moves, but he got 3 quality ballplayers for throwaways and got their former teams to eat most of the salaries. How is that not absolute genius? This is one of Cashman's best trade-deadline years in his history IMO.
Right. And I'm sure that if the Yankees did nothing this weekend, Lupica would've written an article praising them (not an article about how unreliable Joba Chamberlain and the Curtis/Thames platoons are.) Joel Sherman usually gets a good scoop. That's about the only use for the local sports media.
Sherman is great, and I'm not even a Yankee fan. Him, Nick Cafardo and Andrew Baggerly are easily my favorite baseball writers.
Sherman is the only one worth reading in NY. Studies show you lose an IQ point each time you read an article by either Lupica or Madden.
Sherman is okay when he's reporting news. Some of the time, at least. When he's espousing his opinion, though, he's just as much (if not more) of an idiot as Lupica or King.
