As the Schefter Cruiser leaves each camp, someone from the team signs the club's logo. Today, Jets coach Rex Ryan did the honors. And he lingered like a guy trying to figure out how to fit as much Chinese food as possible on one buffet plate. As it turns out, Ryan was signing more than his name. He also added the following message. "Soon to be champs." Yeah, this should be a damn good season. The Jets have one of the biggest bull's-eyes that any team ever has worn, and Ryan happily has sewn the thing onto the back of every player's jersey.
i mean what does he have to lose? if you're a humble coach that doesn't win you get fired just the same as if you're a cocky son of a bitch however if you win it's a lot cooler if you were a cocky prick and get to gloat lol
I love Rex's attitude. He absolutely believes he is gonna win a super bowl here. As sure as he believes the sun will rise tomorrow! I love that attitude.
Gone is the SOJF mentality. Thank You Rex, for doing something that the lone fan couldn't. You made my dream come true.
Damn, if you read the comments under that article you can see how much people despise Rex. You can almost see the red in the words.
I know he interviewed for us back in the day ... I would probably love him as my coach honestly if we would have hired him, but Sparano is still my guy
Exactly. If he doesnt get it this year...we will have a ton of fans screaming for him to shut his f'in mouth and just win it next year. If we do win it...he will be carried around the city and never have his two feet hit the ground again. And I would just like to go on record now...so not a soul can say Im playing both side of the fences...saying if we do not win it this year to shut the f up..and if we do you are a genius Rex. Seriously, the one thing about Rex is this. I have friends who are Giant fans and easily say they would love him has their coach. He has brought an identity that not even Parcells was able to do in his brief stint. He has made being a Jet fan worthwhile...either digging and ribbing at the brashness or complimentary. Regardless, he has made the Jets relevant however you might look at them. I never thought that Mets could ever equal the Yanks....the Islanders or Devils could ever equal the Rangers...or the Nets could ever equal the Knicks..no matter how many banners they put up there. Rex has made it possible. My sons friends used to tear him apart for being a Jet fan..they still do..but in a different way. Their argument no longer makes sense..except for the ring. If he brings the Ring to the Jets...football is a different sport than the others. Its possible to say many more Jet fans will be born than Giant fans because of their style..which fits into todays society more than it would a decade or two ago. Should be interesting if he completes the mission.
All that matters is that players enjoy playing for RR. If opposing fans don't like RRs comments and/or attitude so be it.
Agree Jake. Money and wanting to play for a coach = great players wanting to come to your team. That always helps.
The Bears Superbowl Shuffle is one of the most awesome things of all time. Everyone should get down and do the shuffle - c'mon!!!!11111 "I didn't come here to cause no trouble, I'm just here to do the superbowl shuffle" It would be great if Rex broke out a bit of the rap from this in one of his press conferences
There is http://forums.theganggreen.com/profile.php?do=ignorelist I have one person on mine :breakdance:
