By the time we finished our first possession of the second half I was thinking about how mad we used to get about Chad checking down. Well now, Mark has become the exact same, but at least Chad was willing to throw a mid-depth pass. Pennington's accuracy and timing were also good enough to ensure that his completion percentage on these attempts was very high. I am not proposing that we get him, it's just sad that we are getting less from Mark than we got from a guy who seemingly drove himself out of town due to his lack of ballsy-ness. When do we have a respectable offensive game? Against NE? Miami? The outlook is not good at that position. Flacco's deep passes were just as risky as Mark's, but the difference is that he attempted them. And in all honest Flacco has more throws than Mark and much more composure.

This is a second year QB who has checkdown so ingrained in his head that he forgot how to play QB. Sometimes you have to take a step backwards to take 2 forward. I'm worried that Schotty isn't going to let him just play though.
