Oh c'mon, almost everyone was saying he cant play football and all these comments against him because of Monday Night Football. Now that he actually does good, no one cant say hes improving, to not judge base on today's IMPROVEMENT? C'mon.
Exactly. Great job by any Pats fans checking in to eat crow in this thread. Hopefully the next Jets-Pats war in New England, will be just as meaningful and intense as this one was.
Always good to see the Pats fans show up after a loss. Those faggot Fins fans just flee. Not that we gave them any reason last year.
I think what the guy is saying is that this Patriot D can make players, particularly QBs, look better then they are. True to some extent but in the end though it doesn't matter. Sanchez needed to play well and he did. I wish I could say something else but it was a good gut-check win by Sanchez and the Jets and they deserve the win. The good news is that it's just game 2 of a long season. A lot of football to play.
Patriots, are obviously in the upper echelon of NFL teams and will be for quite sometime.... I wouldn't be this pumped about beating Buffalo or cleveland. Great game today Pats; I'm sure that when we come to New England its going to be tough going.
When I saw Taylor grab Brady and take him down I wondered if they were going to just lie there and cuddle for a bit.
First I was replying to your statement that the Jets had a "small window" to win. Which, after pointing out several examples and looking at the actual roster, I proved to be horseshit. I have seen this statement from fans of other teams on several message boards who want reach for anything to criticize the Jets with and it's crap. Where are the Jets old? OLB? Can be addressed in the draft. DL? Pouha is playing well and if Gholston turns into a decent DE, it is even less of a problem. The core of the team is young and signed long term, so I ask again, where is this "small window?" Second, I didn't post anything in the Jets forum last week, so don't speak in generalities. And I said Sanchez is IMPROVING, which he clearly is, unless you watched a different game than I did. He improved last year in the playoffs also. Does that mean he is going to the HOF? No. Does that mean he will be elite? Not necessarily. Does that mean he will continue to improve next week? Again no. But he improved today, ALOT. If you can't admit that, you aren't being objective.
Nice of you to come back, I don't think I've veer seen Brady play as bad for one stretch ever. That 3rd quarter was ugly. I'm not gonna get too excited over one game. I will certainly enjoy it but there are still 14 games left to decide things. I don't see the Pats just going away but they certainly looked human. They have some weak spots but they also have some really good young players. Hernandez and McCourty both look like they could be very solid players.
We didn't get an insane amount of pressure on Brady in the second half, I guess we got enough to force him to make some bad decisions.
