Yeah I have to agree that a Fins loss benefits us more in the long run. If Chad gives them a spark it could tighten things up in the division. Plus with all the Mud Bowl talk this week -- Fuck the Fins.
Titans for sure. They havent played Houston or Indy yet this season. They also play at KC at the end of the year. They'll have a few more losses.
Titans are garbage. We have one of the best run defenses in the nfl, no reason to be afraid of CJ. And Randy moss ? Weve already shit on him how many times this year. Titans got a good looking pass rush big whoop
They're a good football team. Good defense all around, good run game, gotta worry about Vince young running and now moss. def not garbage.
2 years ago i woulda said they were possibly the best team in the nfl. Last year thought theyd be superbowl contenders. And they easily have the best coach not named Rex in the nfl. But their secondary just sucks, they have WR issues, they lack a dangerous TE, and Chris Johnson quite frankly has looked unimpressive this year. Garbage is an exageration, but theyre not a superbowl contender this year. 2-3 years when chris johnson/vince young/their young dline start to peak they might very well be the best team in the nfl but not yet.
Some of you guys have an irrational fear of the Dolphins lol. Root against them for hate sure, but if you're actually worried about them taking a playoff spot from us, youre crazy. Since Chad is playing and the Titans are the better team, I'd rather root for the Phins this one game.
I think the better question is why are you worried about the Titans? They aren't in our division, have a worse record than us and have 2 games against the Colts still. You actually prefer to have an out of division team with a worse record lose, to improve a divisional team to the same record as them. Seems strange to me.
I'm rooting for Tennessee this week and the rest of the year. I have no desire whatsoever to face Peyton Manning in the playoffs again.
The Bills don't count...plus there' s no way in hell they are even competitive in that game, so who cares.
don't worry, I'm not taking it as arguing at all. Actually, I expected it; it is a fair question. my answer is yes, would still have preferred a Fins win because I still think the Ravens are a bigger threat to the Jets to get homefield than I think the Fins are to winning the division or competing for a wild card spot with the Jets. IMO the Fins are at best a 10-6 team, even if they had beaten the Ravens, and I don't think the Jets are finishing less than 11-5, so I'm simply not worried about the Fins. for this season, it isn't only about making the playoffs, or winning the division, it is about being the best in the NFL, thus I want the Jets to have the best record. to do that, other teams have to lose, and the Ravens are a bigger threat to that than the Fins, so I am more confident with the Jets having a 2 game lead over the Ravens since we don't play them again than simply a 1 game lead over the Fins who we can knock another game back. that being said, my argument last week was based solely on the situation and standings as it stood last week. the Ravens could lose the next 4, at which point I won't care whether they win or lose. but as it stood last week, the Ravens were a more important loss to take place. same reason why I'd prefer to see the Titans lose, who I think are more likely to make the playoffs than the Dolphins. I'd much rather them both be 5-4 behind the Jets than one of them 6-3.
Fuck that, I do. I would love to knock the Colts out again. I ain't skerred!! I wish the Titans had Vince Young in, the Phins lucked out a couple of times at least this year in facing injured teams. Against GB they missed out on Clay and a CB.
I'm suprised that you guys aren't throwing your support to the Browns this week................... BTTB
The Steelers shouldn't have trouble with the Pats to be honest. Fuck the Fins - I hope Chad throws 4 INTs. He doesn't wear green anymore, now he wears gay teal. Let him throw 4 picks so Thigpen has to start the rest of the season. Fuck Chad doing well, when he goes to a team that can be respected, then I'll consider rooting for him to be successful.
