You thought the Green interview was intense & funny...I do think the reporter was being a douche though.

I can probably have a better completion percentage than Anderson without putting my heart and soul into this shit.

Derek Anderson throws a better bounce pass than Jason Kidd.

that reporter is a dick. It could simply be a sarcastic laugh where he's laughing about how the Cards can't do anything right.

    Good for Anderson.

These fucking fans with journalism degrees want every little fucking detail about what the camera shows.

We don't deserve to know whats going on between two players. He said its between him and Lutui, you fucking respect it. The media is such a pest with that bullshit.

I'm glad Anderson had the reaction he did. Reporters can go fuck off.

Deuce could have made a joke to Anderson. Deuce is a funny guy, I know from watching a lot of mic'd up clips where the dude is cracking jokes constantly.

I'd have the same reaction if I was Derek. Reporters are weasels. People need to put them in their place every week.

    haha that's hilarious.

That reporter sucks, it thought Anderson was going to be cracking up. He just gave a smirk to whatever the linemen was saying. Is he supposed to look like he is going to kill himself like a day straight or something?

I think the story of Derek Anderson & the Cleveland Browns of the Romeo Crennel era are one of the strangest stories in football. The Browns organization back then was like a complete clusterf--k.
DA gets 1 full year in Cleveland at QB during the 2007 season, throws for almost 3800 yards, 29TDs & 19ints & goes to the Pro Bowl. After the season, Crennel then wants an open competition at QB between him & Brady Quinn?????? Granted, Quinn was drafted in April, 2007 but Anderson had a solid season. To make things worse, there were October, 2008 trade rumors in which the Minnesota Vikings offered Cleveland their 1st round draft pick in 2009 AND 2010, (that's right --- 2 FIRST ROUND PICKS) but Cleveland turned them down. Quinn ended up going to equally incompetent talent evaluating Denver for Peyton Hillis & like a 6th round draft pick.

You look at situations like this & you understand why Cleveland is where they are & have been for years and why organizations like New England are so successful & still have plenty of draft picks & upcoming that they are turning over.

I agree. I think the point Derek was trying to make was, it wasn't the game or situation that was funny, just words shared by two teamates. Like you said, his teamate may have just been trying to get him to smile in a dire situation.

What sucks is that Anderson, while having a point in telling the guy off, just got that reporter a nice holiday bonus. Getting a QB to mouth off on national tv (albeit after a shitty MNF game) is 'good journalism'. Journalists, scratch that - modern journalists - don't care so much for facts, rather readers and online viewers.

    Yep. Sad state of journalism.

It was a 'get job' and he was got. I wish more players would talk to the media like children.

Belichick and Parcells are two good example at talking to the media like children. But Parcells did it in a way that made the media love him.

i couldnt agree more. the reporters and even us as fans need to really go fuck ourselves sometimes. we spend way too much time worrying about what the guy on our team is doing. myself included at times.

You guys do know he answered the question about Deuce in the full interview, right? Derek had already said it wasn't about what was going on in the game and Deuce was just trying to be positive to cheer him up.

that makes sense I mean does anybody really believe the conversation was something along the lines of "dude we suck" "yup" and both guys start laughing? That seems to be what the reporter was implying

when times are tough, aka whatever the cardinals put together monday night, everyone is going to try and get a smile or a laugh out of one another, because it can help them keep going.

that reporter is still a dumbass
