H'mm well we drafted a OLman with our #4 pick do you think a playmaker like a WR would have been better for us?

I agree 100% No matter who was playing WR with our QB situation...they can forget the trip to Honolulu

Hawaii is nothing but a popularity contest, and an excuse to squeeze one more week of football out for us fans. I would gladly never need to see another Jet make the Pro Bowl in exchange for a trip to the game before it.

Would it be a big deal if Penny never threw another pass over 20 yards, if it got us a perfect record in January? I don't care about flashy. Yes, flashy is fun to watch and cheer for, but if you are just flashy, and don't convert it to wins, what's the big deal? Coles can make the big plays. If JMac actually plays to his potential, he is a legit #2 in this league. Revolving the door on the third option between Cotchery, any of the half-dozen TEs, and possibly Smith, along with the RBs, we can be competitive.

The real core of the issue is how the CS take advantage of the strengths of the individual players talents. I figure we have the right attitude at the top, based on the things Mangini says, the only question that remains is whether Li'l Shotty has the ability to coach up the talent in his schemes.

With the QB play the Jets had last year it is very difficult to put blame on the WRs. Although JM was dissapointing and a lot of the other WR did nothing to help out Bollinger.

Smith is a project at WR, and will not be much of a factor this year. Forget that pipe dream.

McCareins had a bad year last year, but so did everyone else. His 2004 season went well, so consider this year a rubber match for him. As there is nobody on the current roster who has the skills and experience to replace him this year, we'd better hope he does well.

Eh, not a chance. I'll take a potential franchise LT over a WR any day of the week. So would anyone else who knew what they were doing.

So I guess you have no idea what you are doing then. The sands of time will prove you wrong again just like it has with Herm when you produced MISINFORMATION after MISINFORMATION about him

I already ranked you as a SLW as IMHO your FB knowledge is zero. You ought to dig up the ESPN video on Brick vs speed rushers before producing MISINFORMATION on this board

Not a draftnik but was not that TE available that everyone says is really a WR? You can take it to the bank that 3 years from now we all will be looking back at this pick with much regret. Just be patient & you will see it unfold right before your eyes.

so you're saying all or most draftniks didn't consider d'brick a blue chip prospect? If so you are now on my FJJEKXCR list and you're football knowledge is zero

Vernon Davis is that wr/te but if both him and brick pan out, i will still take the LT every time....

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I love you, man, seriously. You bash the Ferguson pick endlessly, and then suggest that we should have taken a wideout... and when asked what wideout you suggest, you SUGGEST A TIGHT FREAKING END!!!!! Just priceless.

it was so painful watching McCareins last year. It's like he oiled up his hands before every game. I dont care how big or physical he is, a WR's job is to catch the ball, period.
