No matter what happens next week (and I'm not ready to lie down and die against the Steelers like so many of you are) Just remember ...

The Bears lost back-to-back home games against Seattle and Washington earlier in the year. And, as bad as our offense has looked, they've actually scored less points than we have. Their mighty defense has allowed 14 less points than we have. They're far from invinceable.

The Bills are improved, but they still give up more rushing yards than anyone in the league.

We can't beat a high school team if we play like we have the past two weeks, but there's no reason to think that we'll play that way for the next three games. Its been a long time since this team has lost 2 games in a row. I'm not about to panic just because it happened.

I'm not one of these pessimistic SOJ fans. We have more talent than the Bears and the Bills. I still expect to win at least 11 games this year.

    You better win 11....

because if the Bolts win out against 3 low-tier teams, they own the tiebreaker against the Jets at 10 wins.

You lose the next 2 of the next 3, and you guys will not be in the playoffs.

We lose any of the next 3, we will not be. Pretty simple for both teams.

Not really that simple. Goes past Jets and Chargers. Alot of other variables at this point. For example ... let's say the Chiefs, Colts and Dolphins all lose one game out of the next 3. That gets us in at 10-6 if we were to beat either the Bills or Steelers since the Cheifs already have 5 conference losses.

once you get in the Playoffs everything starts over...problem is they need to get there first.

This team is a pathetic mess from the QB to the strength and conditioning coach.

Its pretty sad that our team has decided to take a nap this time of the season.

I guess I shouldn't be shocked by all this SOJ pessimism, but somehow I still am.

I look at it this way ... either you have good players on your roster or you don't. To me we clearly do, and I'll match our talent against Chicago or Buffalo anyplace or anytime. Just because we've played ike crap for 2 weeks it doesn't mean that everybody on our team suddenly became less talented overnight. We simply need to play better, and I see no reason why we won't.

Take a look at the Giants, who have the same 9-4 record we do. They started slow so everyone was writing off the season and Tom Coughlin was losing the team. Then they won 5 straight so they were the best team in the NFL and they were going to the Superbowl. Then they dropped 2 straight so all we heard about was the upcoming collapse. Now they've won 3 straight and all is great again.

It's really comical the way people always overreact to a bad game or two ... and nobody is more guilty of that than all the SOJ'ers out here.

I'm with you 100%, things can turn around so quickly in this league. Outside of the freakin Patsies, who are playing out of their minds right now, I don't see why the Jets can't beat Pitt (they are also struggling on offense) or the Bears, who got embarrased vs the Patsies just like the Jets did. At home, no less.

The Pats arent immune to catching a slump either. They can catch a hot loss too, and you only need one in the playoffs to go home.

The 07 Pats slumped at the worst time. Game 19.
