These teams have played against each other in some memorable playoff games including the 1960 NFL Championship Game and the 2003 NFC Divisional and the 4th and 26 play.
Vick, DeSean, and a lot of other starters for Philly didn't even dress for the game last week against Dallas, while the entire Packers team was focused on getting a hard-fought win against a tough Chicago team. They won't run away with it, but I think a fresh Vick and DeSean break some ankles and lead the Eagles to victory at home.
The Eagles will be without both linebacker Stewart Bradley and right guard Max Jean-Gilles in today’s playoff game against Green Bay. Bradley missed the last three games of the regular season with a dislocated elbow suffered at Dallas. Jean-Gilles injured his ankle last Sunday against the Cowboys. Jamar Chaney again will start for Bradley, who last Sunday was confident he would return against Green Bay. Nick Cole will replace Jean-Gilles. Also inactive for the Eagles are cornerback Brandon Hughes, safety Jamar Adams, defensive tackle Jeremy Clark, defensive end Bobby McCray, offensive tackle Austin Howard and quarterback Mike Kafka, who is the emergency quarterback. http://www.csnphilly.com/01/09/11/B...landing_eagles.html?blockID=387936&feedID=704
I like the Packers on the road in this one. Clay Matthews and the Packers pass rush could cause havoc for Vick and the Eagles offensive line. With Charles Woodson locking up on Jackson, I really see Vick having a bad game, with a QB rating of under 70. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have been my NFC favorites since last year, I think this is the year the Packers make it back to the SB. GB by 17+ today.
Why are there so many idiots on punt return teams that run towards a ball that is stting or rolling on the ground surrounded by members of the kicking team? You see it all the time.
it's amazing that this happens after what happened last night Maybe they didn't watch the game. Or maybe Underwood thought he could pull a Holmes and fool them into losing a challenge/timeout
I wouldn't have figured we'd be seeing a lot of touches for James Starks. GB likes to pass, and when they ran the ball this season, it was with Kuhn and Jackson (or a scramble from Rodgers).
