I agree. I don't mind a little uncertainty over Mangini, but I think I turned on Herm after the Ravens game. I had slowly been growing tired of the "play not to lose" mentality, but in the Ravens game, it was obvious they weren't just playing not to lose, but playing scared. That thoroughly disgusted me.

He would still exist in infamy if Mangini and Tannenbaum didn't do such a good job righting the ship. Don't forget, they inhereted nothing short of a disaster cap-wise and personnel-wise. They couldn't correct all of Herm's mis-management, but they did do a lot of good. I still think we need another year to really start going places again.

What exactly makes you believe that Mangini maybe a good coach. He did not pay his dues as a DC before he got his shot at HC.

I'm looking forward - with our new regime.

When Herm is on TV or in the papers/web articles - I read it, and get a laugh now and again.

I saw that jive-ass preacher on TV Sunday morning, all dressed up and shucking it up. That made me think of Herm for a few.

Whenever I think of him i get pissed off and think of all the bullshit he pulled when he was here. All those big words he would use it press conferences without knowing what they mean.

This morning when I dropped a deuce. I stood up and looked into the bowl at this dark brown log that had been a part of me for so long, then all of a sudden decided to up and leave for no reason at all. I couldn't figure out why, or what I did to cause him to want to leave me, so I just flushed it down. And suddenly, I no longer thought of Herm...

The fact that this thread was started about a week ago and people are still posting in it suggests to me that yes, people do still think of Herm.

    ...when is the offseason over???

I think of Herm when I think about the biggest incompetent pieces of garbage in the NFL.

    That's about the only time.

When you hit 46 years old....you start to think about stupid things...like..."hey...Im only 2 or 3 bad Jet regimes before I start to wonder if I will ever see a Jet superbowl".

Knowing my children may one day say "Gee...wish dad was around to see this" kind of pisses me off.

So yes, I think about him all the time. I think about him when I go looking for a new car and spend a half hour with a lying car salesman....I then say to myself "Herm Edwards would have sold that car to me".

I think about him when I go to a restaurant and the manager comes up to me for no reason that I asked for and says he is "very sorry that the food is taking so long...the oven in the kitchen exploded and they had to rush the chef and his apprentice to the hospital". "Should we evacuate?" I say out loud...and then start laughing to myself "Oh...he just Herm Edwards me".

I think about him when my 7 year old son comes up to me moaning about how his older brother hit him in the back for no reason at all. "Hitting you was wrong" I say "but for no reason?" I then laugh to myself and say "Herm Edwards would have come up with a better one than that".

When you take 5 years of a persons life and bullshit your way through it...playing with their emotions with a team you love...yeah...I think about him all the time...everytime I think someone is lying or bullshitting to me...I compare them to Herm.

    Very good.

    Additions:

Wow...you are so full of herm.

Herm is pissing on my shoes and hes telling me its raining.

If herm falls in the woods...and nobody is there to hear it..did he make a noise? (ok...perhaps not used correctly..but how funny would herm falling in the woods be.)

Was at a political debate last night...and all they did was herm us. one guy would herm us good..and then the next guy got up and hermed us to death...thats why people hate politicians...they herm you here..and herm you there...before you know it...your sore from being hermed all night long.
