I can say he did hold back the Jets offense a bit in his first season here but he was a ROOKIE, I dont care what you say but most Qb's need about 3-4 years to reach some of their potential. His second year he was getting use to a new WR on the team and a different style of play with LT at RB, and we didnt suck on offense last year at all. We were much much more improved and will be even better next season. I dont count a screen pass that goes 40 yards because a WR is faster then a #2 or #3 Corner a "deep play pass". Does it go for alot of yards? yes but it certainly isnt a deep ball to go into OT or tie a game thrown for 40 yards before the WR catches it like Mark has shown he can make. Campbell is accurate but just cannot make the deep throw, he benefits from fast WRs and a good run game to open up the play action. I dont think he is a bad player by any stretch but being better than Sanchez he is not and will not be. Id love to see how Campell would even survive in a game that means something.

Raiders offense went from one of the worse 30- 32 to one of the top 10 offense . (it beat the jets in every offense catergory despite not having a Pass protection oline yet as good as the Jets. (Thats without their best Wr being out for most of the year(played in one game) and a very inexperience Wr corp ) Watch the jacoby Ford ot deep pass against the Chiefs . J Campbell put that right on the numbers. Again Raiders Oline isn't great yet in pass protection. So when a team stopping their run, your not going to have the time to throw those deep patterns. Its as simple as this. Raiders improve their pass protection both Jason campbell and the Raiders wr will put up big numbers. Even DHb will benefit as Raiders can't take advantage of his speed. (the time not there yet to let those plays develope) Only time will tell if Sanchez ever becomes that franchise Qb but he hasn't done squat to tell you hes on his way to becoming that Qb. BTW Go check how many passes mark sanchez threw to Santonio Holmes where he outraced the secondary.(those weren't forty yard boms either)

Again what was mark sanchez a one man show on offense. He came into a situation that alot of young Qbs aren't lucky enough to have. Everything around him was set up for him to be sucessful. YEt his numbers his first two years are less than acceptable (under ideal situation) . There is no reason why Jets didn't have a home playoff game. Lets forget the numbers in put up in the season (very dissapointing) and just concentrate on the playoffs. Right. Jmo Big reason for his sucess in the playoff had nothing to do with Sanchez. The other team were more concern with stopping the jets running game and forcing Sanchez to beat them. Tell me what great Defense they played in playoffs. Colts?
