Just checked that out recently. There have been 45 Super Bowls. Nine QBs have two or more rings (and I only counted starters, so that excluded guys like Phil Simms and a couple others who got second rings while filling back-up roles). Those nine QBs have won 24 of the 45 Super Bowls played. So more than half of the overall Super Bowls have been won by nine quarterbacks. In the same period of time, there have been hundreds if not thousands of starters. Pretty exclusive club.
This is a really really dumb question. A top 10 QB vs. a SB? Really? If you had said the BEST QB in the NFL vs. SB, then you might have had something realistic, and even then the answer would have been SB. Question: Would you wanna have Revis on your team or a SB victory? Super Bowl victory.
Would you rather eat a gross looking meal that was the most delicious meal of your life or an awesome looking meal that tasted like shit? Sent from ... FU KOZ
Super Bowl! Sanchez will develop into a great qb in due time so a Super Bowl would be the shit this upcoming season.

This is kind of an easy answer. I don't give a shit if Bubby Brister comes back and the Jets win it all with him starting.
Well what I was more getting at. This is a team that NEVER had a franchise QB. What would be more significant, having Sanchez be that guy who insures were a contender almost every season for the next 12-15 years. Or this aged defense carrying Sanchez to a superbowl then him becoming irrelevant for the rest of his career ala Namath. As good as Revis is, you really can't compare him to an elite franchise qb. Our entire offense for the next decade plus rest entirely on Sanchez, and this leauges obviously built to strongly favor passing offenses
"aged defense" ? Our best players are in their primes. Sure we have a few spots we could get young er at but this isn't an old defense. It's not quite as good as it seems thanks to rex and his schemes but we'll have a good D as long as rex is running things.
If I'm in a fantasy league with a large payout and I drafted Sanchez in the 10th round, I'd have to reconsider my previous statement. lulz
I would be totally fine with the Jets winning the Superbowl under the circumstances that Sanchez is regarded as Trent Dilfer 2.0. I'd be totally fine with that!
Harris is our only good young linebacker. (Scotts good too but hes old) Our Defensive line is a combination of really old and or bad and or banged up. Leonard is gonna be 30 coming off of a broken leg. I mean outside of Revis and Harris our defense is either full of old players or just mediocre role players. Kyle Wilson is young, but hasnt had success in the nfl (yet). And Cromartie is somewhat of a long shot to even be on the team for more than another year. I could be wrong but I DEFINITELY would consider this an aged defense. Id be surprised if we had more than 3 starters on our defense starting 3 years from now. Maybe Lowery and Kyle Wilson pan out, but as of right now the only guys on this defense who are likely to still be starting a few years from now are Revis and Harris.
Pouha is 31 Scott is 30 Harris 26 Revis 25 Leonhard 28 Devito 26 Smith 27 Wilson 23 Pace 30 Thomas 31 30 & 31 is not old. We need to get younger along the DL but we are in good shape for the future on D. W/ that said we need to address the D in the coming drafts, they cannot ignroe it but we are fine for now and will be long term assuming they address the D int he drafts like we know they will.
for the fans this should be an easy one - SB or bust. i could care less what the QB's stats are when and if we win...... however, the jets are in a pickle so to say. does sanchize continue to develop and does the team maintain/improve the offensive talent around him for the foreseeable future OR does the team jack up the D and take a page from the ravens pre flacco. gonna be hard to balance both sides of the fence but u gotta feel confident with MT and RR running the show. jil
I don't give a shit about Sanchez. If it took a Mark Sanchez career-ending injury for Brunell to step up and lead us to a Super Bowl win, I'd take that in a heartbeat.
